    Do you have the answer?

I use that soil and those nutes. Depending on your water, you'll probably need calcium and magnesium as well. Any CalMag will do, but I like Botanicare best (just an opinion). I adjust pH to 6.3 or so. I don't worry about runoff pH. Sunshine Advance #4 has good pH out of the bag. I don't add...

Is this green mold or trichaderma????????????????? HELP pretty please! </3

Looks like algae to me. I'd remove the affected dirt and repot it. I'd probably water it with some hygrozyme and h202 (if you have it). You could also reinoculate with mycorrhizae if you're into that sort of thing. I think she'll be fine.

smell associated with new MH bulb

Definitely get rid of that film on your reflector. If it has time to bake on with the heat of your lamp, it will be harder to remove and will lessen the reflectivity of your reflector.

    Long Vegging Times?

I think the best reason for a long veg time is for the legal grows that have a limit on the number of plants. These growers need a wide canopy on each plant to maximize yield. They don't necessarily let them grow taller, just wider. Also, clones require a bit of veg time to get established, then...

Help? which light for my tent?

If I were buying just one light for that tent, I'd get a ceramic metal halide. Get a nice magnetic HPS ballast and a Phillips Retro White CMH bulb. This is just one guy's opinion, but I think you'd be quite pleased with the results. If your tent has good ventilation, you will not need an...

Perfect Grow Space for 400w MH???

A 3-foot by 3-foot tent would be perfect for a 400-watt metal halide. You could buy one prefabricated, or make your own. If your tent has a good ventilation system, you probably won't even need to use a sealed hood. As far as the number of plants, you could grow one big plant, 4 medium sized...

What ripeness do YOU prefer, and why?

Fixed it. I used to be paid to edit journals. It was a sloppy edit on my part. Oh the shame. :-)

What ripeness do YOU prefer, and why?

Here's some good pics: https://www.rollitup.org/general-marijuana-growing/138690-pics-swollen-calyxes.html An immature calyx is fat near the stem and tapers off, like a vase. A mature calyx gets rounded and looks almost like a tiny head of iceberg lettuce. It's a lovely sight. I get all excited...

What ripeness do YOU prefer, and why?

I guess I could be considered an early harvester. I like my trichomes to be cloudy, but that's not really my harvest gauge. I harvest when the calyxes are swollen, most pistils are colored and receding. But most importantly, the calyxes themselves are closed...there's no more opening where the...

    Help with dying seedlings!!

Your roots are being air pruned, so no nutrients can get to the vegetation. Do like MrGhetto said, and get them in a bigger container...a nice big rockwool block will do.

    espom salt?

The cal/mag from Botanicare uses nitrates, so you get some nitrogen with it. The Botanicare product gives the same results as epsom salts, but it's not the same. However, the CaMg+ product from General Organics is calcium carbonate and magnesium carbonate...otherwise known as epsom salt and...

HPS bulb lasted two months! HTG SUPPLY EBAY

I had a 400w HTG branded bulb that came with a digital ballast. I think it lasted 8 months. It's a cheaply made bulb. But they cost so little, I still have one as a backup in case my good bulb goes out.

Best Way To Clean And Dry Hydroton???????????

That's a lot of hydroton to clean. I'd clean about 1/4 to 1/3 of it at a time in a big trashcan or tub. Use any of the flushing solutions to get rid of accumulated salts, and use hygrozyme to get rid of any leftover roots. I usually dry mine in a couple of 5-gallon buckets with holes in the...

    Pot Transplant FAIL!Roots Ripped off!

If it's just the root ends, you'll be fine...she'll recover in a few days to a week or 2.

What deficiency could this be ?

It looks like your plant is deficient of micro nutrients, particularly magnesium, calcium, and molybdenum. Also, the veins of your leaves are greener than the actual leaves, so you probably need more nitrogen too. Since you're using Floranova bloom, my first question is how much are you shaking...

What silent fans to use with LEDs?

Look at the S&P TD series fans. I have the TD-140 cooling a hood, and it's super quiet. The Can Fan 4" (regular model, not the HO model) might work well for you too...it's quiet but rather expensive. Either of these fans will allow you to run a small carbon filter to reduce smell. But more...

Nice CFL accessory for UK Growers (or others maybe)

I have a few microphone stands around that are great for side lighting. I used one of the desk boom stands to get a CFL right where I wanted it. Here's an example: http://www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/MicStdDeskBm/ I don't have any pictures, but I simply attached an extension cord with a plug...

    Mold please help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What sort of mold do you have? Sometimes mycorrhizae can make a fuzzy white mold, but it dies quickly in sunlight. Sometimes green algae may grow if there's not much air circulation around the soil, but it can be removed by simply scraping off the top layer of soil. You may be able to remove...

    GHS GWS problems.....Any help appreciated

It seems I'be been whoring this link out a lot lately...but it's a great post: https://www.rollitup.org/marijuana-plant-problems/488004-guide-chem-deficiencies-abundancies.html Massah may be right, it could be nute burn, or it could be early calcuim deficiency. If it's subcool's mix, it should...
