    Nirvana under CMH and HPS

It seems the journal I started was a casualty of the recent site hack. So here's an update to this post. It's now week 3 of flower. The 2 in back are Master Kush. The're both in the same environment, soil, nutrients, etc; but one looks spindly and yellowed and the other is ok. The AK-48 (front...

AK48 under 250W HPS Looking for a Dr. Check Up w/ lots of Pics

I agree with the light bleaching. Looks like you might need some cal/mag too. I'd definitely leave the yellowed cola leaves on there. The bottom leaves that don't receive much light can be removed if you want, but I personally rarely remove any leaves. You might also consider moving your light...

    Best PH tester ??

I've got this one: http://www.greners.com/hanna-phep-4-meter.html It's accurate and reliable. It can be a bit slow to measure sometimes, but the results are consistent and accurate enough for my purposes. I also like using the sachets of pH calibration solutions...it's generally easier to use...

    potato pot

i may not be the best qualified to answer this because I don't grow a lot of potatoes for food, but I do grow potato vines outside for decoration. Ornamental plants tolerate cohabitation with potatoes well enough, but potatoes are water hogs. Cannabis is a bit of a water hog too. I would guess...

    Nirvana under CMH and HPS

I'm growing Nirvana AK-48 (link) and Master Kush (link) in unamended Sunshine Advanced #4 (link). They're growing under a 400-watt Phillips Mastercolor Retro-White bulb, which is currently running 24 hours a day. The tent looks like this: There's a bucket with added airstone to help raise the...

    Ordering today need help

Attitude is a great way to order in the US. I use the T-shirt stealth method. 3 orders so far and no problems. Choosing a strain is difficult. Go for a strain that has been around a while (stable) from a seedbank that's been around a while. Mr Nice Seeds and Nirvana have stable genetics and...

Need help with Leaf Diagnosis - should I be concerned?

In addition to what's been said, you might consider eliminating your dark cycle altogether. The clone with the 3-fingered leaves, in particular, looks like it needs 24 hours of light for a couple weeks to start vegging.

    I Love Bromeliads too.lol

Thanks, Danny, for my word of the day: from Wikipedia - An epiphyte is a plant that grows upon another plant (such as a tree) non-parasitically or sometimes upon some other object (such as a building or a telegraph wire), derives its moisture and nutrients from the air and rain and sometimes...

Why are these fans SO much cheaper than the others on the same site

I use the 6-inch version from HTG for an intake. It's a cheaply made fan...rattles a bit, but it gets the job done. It doesn't have the power to do much more than boost the intake or outtake. It shouldn't be your main ventilation fan.

    Help!!!!!!

This may not be the answer you're looking for, but my opinion is this: Because you already made the decision to harvest, you should go ahead and harvest. Maybe just harvest the top half of the plant. Put the bottom half back in the tent for another week or so and see what happens. Just one...

    All My Pictures!!!

I took these pictures of my AK-48 a couple days ago. This is a bottom bud...still frosty. The top cola is rather long. A toilet and cat have been added for your convenience to this photo for scale. She smells like Fruity Pebbles.

    Carbon Filtration

Use a wye connection to connect the 2 rooms, connect the wye to a strong fan, and blow into the carbon filter. Use dampers for each room's outtake if you want to save on co2. And use a prefilter inside of your carbon filter. It would be a good idea to make a quick disconnect or use worm clamps...

1 plant looks dead with pic

If I had to guess, I'd say root rot. It looks like it can't take up moisture or nutrients. Just a guess, though, from looking at one picture.

Can Anyone Link me to some Scales that I need for Measuring Green?

I have a few small scales but currently only use an American Weigh Blade scale. http://www.amazon.com/American-Weigh-Black-Digital-Pocket/dp/B0012N1NAA/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1326250119&sr=8-1 It's my most accurate scale, and seems well made. Like most scales, it has an annoying auto-off feature...

    My Cat eats my BUDS!

Catnip works. I had a cat who liked to chew leaves. Once I grew him his own little patch of catnip, my garden wasn't so interesting anymore. You can pick up (usually poorly maintained) catnip and wheat grass at Petco or Petsmart or any good pet store.

What kind of lamp is this?

Looks like a HPS bulb. There should be some sort of label on that ballast.

How do YOU order your seeds from ATTITUDE??

T-shirt is a good way to go. It'll come in a plastic bag, so it'll fit in your mailbox.

    Tracking an order.

Yeah, the tracking is not so great. Expect your seeds in 2 weeks and you'll likely be surprised when they arrive sometime before that.

How do YOU remove your run off water?

I use a couple of the microfiber towels you can find at Walmart, Target, etc in the car wash area...the big ones for drying a car. Each towel will hold about a quart/liter of water. Make sure to rinse out the towel, though. If you let it dry with nutrient water on it, it will smell like mildewed...

    equipment price question

Count me as a plus one for the Galaxy ballast. I got my 600w for $115 (USD) from Greners during their Thanksgiving/Black Friday sale. It has been running like a silent little champ for about a month now. It's not dimmable, though, if that's important to you. I also own a 400w digital ballast...
