Bernie Sanders’ Political Revolution Is Gaining Ground

His policies are not socially progressive to me. It's good for fiscal liberals though. Bernie is not reaching out to minority communities. In my opinion. From the Wa Po article, he's going after the moderate Democrat and Repuplican white voters.

I don't know why you would think I'm unhappy with Sanders's treatment of the Democratic party. I'm just fine with what he said. It made sense once I figured out that he ISN'T interested or needs a majority of African American and Hispanic voters to succeed as would be the case if he stuck with Democrats in his reform movement.

I have no idea how much he's raised for Democratic down ballots. Why would I care? And I don't care that he's snubbing leadership or criticizing the policies of the Democratic Party either. He's also not anything like the Bernie Babies on this board too. I'm OK with Bernie's plan now that I've gotten a sense of what he's doing. Not that that should matter to anybody but myself.

Me. And I'm far from alone.

Are you ageist? If he's healthy is there any reason he can't govern?

What's the difference between such ageism and other forms of discrimination? Why is it more acceptable in your mind?
+rep:clap: screaming, standing o

you only start understanding 'it' at age 50.

No Sanders supporters are glad Trump won

That's an example of the type of spin you slimy fucks try to put on it to paint us as bad because you can't argue against the policies we actually support. You're forced to grasp at the straws everyone can expose you for

What was said was that Trump's administration highlights the importance of a legitimately progressive push towards revolution. The extreme right stances Trump supports shows how important and how needed an actual progressive movement is
which, incidentally, you correctly predicted they would do when we saw what the clinton machine was up to.

we knew she would lose and you told them same..its all in the Bernie for President thread.

she was within margin of error against trump and that never wavered.

Bernie polled at +12, clinton machine needed to kick into action as 2008 was upon her again.

we have the elites out now- what to do, what to do?

Next time? He'll be almost 80 fucking years old, and have one foot in the grave.
Who in their right mind would vote for that.
you would complain about ANYONE after Trump? you need your head examined, Jim.

keep looking for excuses..then the blame game starts- hell it hasn't stopped.

there is one person who will NOT be running in 2020..can't we let her loss die and move on?

Anecdotal evidence is all you have

Twice as many Clinton supporters voted for McCain in 08 than Sanders supporters voted for Trump, even though those who voted for Trump had never been registered as Democrats and never intended to vote for Clinton anyway

ANYTHING to continue to deny the faults of the Democratic party. Anything to deny you don't support a statist totally congruent with your anarchistic views
Pada, they're old men and afraid. its hard for them to step out of comfort zone at this stage in their lives.

their thought processes are chrystalized. look at trump, he CAN'T be any different than what he is, either.

71 year old men don't change..neither do 60 year olds. they're Boomers with Silent's for parents. they're still from the old school.

What's not socially progressive about universal healthcare, raising the minimum wage to a living wage, or free college?

Each of those policies would disproportionately benefit minorities
he's talking about how Sanders doesn't suck minority cock quite like clinton and yet he won't cite her policy on same.

why? because clinton didnt have one.

Oh, I've long since figured out that you're a giant, hypocritical wind bag, but I was still hoping that you'd take a stab at this one. Just for the entertainment value
@rkymtnman got it exactly correct. It requires no explanation.

Are you really the type who gets angry when you can't understand something?

Disappointed in you.

The problem with you Berniebabies is that you are all send and no receive.

I think you get what he's doing. @Padawanbater2 , @ttystikk and @schuylaar are trying to follow a Bernie that never existed. He's fairly conservative about some issues and only moderately liberal on others. He's going to help us rid the political system of legal corporate and big donor campaign cash which I think will be a very good thing.

I think we can agree on that.

Now go back to your angry tirade. Quite funny to see a grown man act like a child.

Yeah, saw that when it came out.

The DNC doesn't have the charter for fundraising for Congressional candidates and as the article said, off years like this one is typically low but this one is a low for a decade.. 2003 was the last time they hit this low in fundraising. Similar situation too. The Democratic party was villified by the liberal wing and they gave the government to Bush and company. I don't recall those days as anything to celebrate.

Bernie's crowd finds this to be in their own self interest.
