Agreed. As long as security is under control, i.e. nobody knows about your grow, electricity and odor is well-managed etc., growing your own brand is much safer that purchasing on the street.

I would use the T5 for clone rooting and seedlings, but that's about it. Once a clone or seedling is rooted, it's all 400W HID from then on.

Quality potting soil would be ideal, but you may be able to make do with what you have. I'd read up on CFL lighting and supplement the light you have because I don't know that it's suitable for growing. I wouldn't put more than one seedling per pot either.

This is personal preference, but I put them in jars for curing when they're dry on the outside, but the stem is still bendable.

I'm assuming you're growing in soil, in which case you would use it every other watering. The dosage is 15ml per 3.785 liters(1 US gallon). You can use it throughout the entire flowering phase.

Treacle should be fine, though it's not quite as dark as molasses. Still plenty good for your plants.

You have a 600w light in that thing? Also, you might want to get that power strip off of the floor for safety reasons.

A Cool Tube is a hood/reflector that uses a glass cylinder to surround the bulb, allowing you to vent away most of the heat from your bulb. You can then place the light closer to your plants. Here's what it looks like...

What kind of products are you putting in that rez? Could be your problem there.
