could you use a chain link fence? how much area will this fence cover? how much direct sunlight will they get? i think you will hurt your yield by not topping...and lsting.... don't worry about Co2 this is outdoor... my biggest plants last year were blue dream,agent orange,sour flower and jilly...

you should do a drainage test before planting if you have clay soil...when i did my test the hole never drained... i use a mix of coco,perlite,ffof and happy frog..it works well and is hard to over water....

i haven't used it...but you might want to research a product called serenade... also i have had mold every year...mold happens.... topping in veg can help...
