High-pressure (aka "true") aeroponics - nutrient schedule?

I'm not sure what direction I'm gonna go with this - still bouncing some ideas off of TF and staring at his newest pod and trying to figure out which features I could/should incorporate, and which I would be overkill for my setup. For my needs (a 1.5# plant, tops) I think I could get away with...

    Bypass vs Demand Pump

They're doing okay; been working out some random kinks (like clone health, and some plants getting off to a huge headstart and being much larger than others), but all in all not too bad. Designing my new containers now for four HP trees around that light source - will run the PVC at least one...

High-pressure (aka "true") aeroponics - nutrient schedule?

He got 1.4 grams per watt on his last run (no journal or public pics, was a single 600W bulb); of course, he's a fricking monster and sets a high bar, but I'm just letting you know. Unless you're pulling 1.1ish g/w, then he is doing 20% better than you. His new pods are the craziest looking...

    Bypass vs Demand Pump

Mike, tried to check out your video but it'd been removed - everything is back to working correctly? And what cycle was your pump on? Also, maybe Atomizer or someone else would have the answer to this - if I put a 100PSI pressure regulator at the end of my plumbing, would that allow...

High-pressure (aka "true") aeroponics - nutrient schedule?

My DNe timer goes down a helluva lot lower than 30 seconds (probably about 2 or 3, if I had to guess) - you sure yours doesn't go any lower? That doesn't sound right to me. And how does your chamber clear in three seconds? Do you have an extraction fan hooked up to it? My chamber(s) are...

For RIU's Sake! Vertical Growing Forum

From what I understand, you weigh out the nutes on a digital scale before dumping them into a mixing bucket and mixing them all together. I'll use my TDS pen to double-check at the end, but you don't use that when mixing your nutes (according to the threads I've read) - I'm sure you could...

He started a journal of the same grow at verticalgreen.org under the name "carebear" (or something close) - title of the grow is also called "the cube".

Just making some CalMag............bought some magnesium sulfate as well. Figured I'd start off small before I went balls out and started making my own custom nute blends. Prolly just buy a trace mix as well, because having a pound of boron sitting around for the next 200 years seems kinda...

For RIU's Sake! Vertical Growing Forum

Nah, the only thing I was buying on eBay last night was some calcium nitrate and some chelated iron - my cooltube is from Octagonhydroponics.com. And the goal is to flip at 12"; some plants are already well larger than that, and some are still just starting to grow - hoping to flowering in...

"The Stinky Earl" A Perpetual Vertical System in the Works.

I have a really detailed thread at another site, but nothing here - if I decide to do a journal here I'll drop you a link. The only reason I noticed/asked about the bottom light was because I was having the same problem with my initial design where my structure was sitting on cinderblocks -...

"The Stinky Earl" A Perpetual Vertical System in the Works.

How are you finding that light spacing to be working out for you? Looks (could just be a camera trick) like there's a lot of space in-between the two bulbs, and that maybe a decent chunk of the bottom light is getting wasted by "hitting" below the plants - any thoughts on that, or is that just...

It's an HP Aero system, running from 100-125PSI. Here's a shitload more pics for ya..........had some downtime so decided to convert from LP Aero/NFT to HP Aero for the hell of it. EDIT: Obviously some of the clones were healthier than others when they went into the system.

    It's A Fuct World

I've blown up a few dual arc bulbs using my digital dimmable ballasts, but regular HPS bulbs work fine on them. The dimmable feature is nice for someone like me who can't move their lights in relation to their plants and doesn't want to shock plants coming straight from fluoro tubes to 2400...

I've got something similar; we should compare notes at some point (mine was LP aero and then I switched it over to HP aero).

    It's A Fuct World

Posts #182 and #186 in this thread have some good info for you. BTW, HP aero uses less energy than any other form of growing except handwatering........my 100 watt pump runs for 30 seconds every twelve hours.
