High-pressure (aka "true") aeroponics - nutrient schedule?

Not sure about other people's hairs (that just sounds weird), but I can pretty easily see my plant's root hairs with my naked eye (and my eyesight isn't all that great, either).

    It's A Fuct World

Zem, setting up a vertical system is certainly more complex than a simple E&F setup, but it's not THAT much harder (but with any new endeavor, some planning is a REALLY good idea) - as you've said correctly, yes, there's lots more initial setup, but I only check on my plants two or three times a...

    Indefinately's Sea Of Green

I lost two or three straight batches in my EZ 120 and finally just put them in pucks (where I always have ~100% success rate). This EZ 120 can be great when it works right, but losing 120 clones at a time is certainly a kick in the balls when it happens (especially when it happens all in a row).

    vertical growing

Had some issues and kinks to work out with the system at first - really, really would've been totally avoided if I would've used aero clones (roots reach into the column) and not clones rooted in pucks - fucking EZ Clone - had a few dry out and die on me (have been replaced), but it also means...

    HPA Without An Accumulator

Here's an update from my journal at another site: Had some issues and kinks to work out with the system at first - really, really would've been totally avoided if I would've used aero clones (roots reach into the column) and not clones rooted in pucks - fucking EZ Clone - had a few dry out and...

    Real world Hi-Pressure Aeroponics

My Shurflo (150PSI) certainly isn't quiet, but according to Atomizer, Aquatecs are quieter than Shurflos. My pump/accumulator combo was $175. The only "tool" to speak of would be a "tubing cutter" - cost $4, if memory serves (basically just a utlity blade, but worthwhile, IMO). Other than...

    Indefinately's Sea Of Green

It's full (and has been for a couple of weeks, but I've been working out some kinks so growth hasn't exploded yet), taking some pics today.

    Real world Hi-Pressure Aeroponics

Pounce, you should probably take a look at the "My HP Aero Plug and Play Pods" thread - there's lotsa good info in there for you. Treefarmer grows 1#+ plants and they were only drinking a couple of gallons a day each, if memory served - that's a main benefit of (properly done) HP aero - the...

    Real world Hi-Pressure Aeroponics

Pounce, Atomizer might come across as abrasive at times but he knows of what he speaks. Honestly, you seem to indirectly take shots at accumulator setups by saying "if that's all someone wants" or "some people prefer a race car", etc., but given the choice of my setup vs. what I understand...

    Real world Hi-Pressure Aeroponics

Post #46 has links to (pretty much) everything I used in my setup (pump and 150PSI accumulator included).

    Real world Hi-Pressure Aeroponics

Thanks for the info, bro, but there's a lot that your setup leaves to be desired (IMO). Firstly, get a diaphragm pump - mine uses 1 amp, self primes (up to 8 vertical feet, but who the hell would need that), and can deliver 160+PSI. Secondly, get rid of that PVC/braided tubing and get some...

    Real world Hi-Pressure Aeroponics

I'll ask - mind drawing a diagram of your setup and attaching it? I'm having a hard time grasping exactly what you're doing.............but honestly, it really does sound more complex with no tangible benefit (that I can see). The arduino thing sounds cool - someone at another website put me...

    Real world Hi-Pressure Aeroponics

A large enough accumulator paired with my pump could run 100s of nozzles; that's not really a concern of mine. With the proper misting nozzles (already planning on implementing for next grow), they don't spit unless the PSI is >=90, and there's no drip. I can setup valves/more solenoids/more...

    Real world Hi-Pressure Aeroponics

Not really sure what the benefit of running that high of a pressure would be, honestly. If I had a large accumulator tank and a quality regulator capable of handling 1000PSI I could see, but as far as I can tell there's virtually no incremental benefit from going to 100 to 1000PSI. For me...

    HPA Without An Accumulator

Petflora, without knowing how much you're actually feeding or the specific micron sizes your pump is producing, it's really impossible for someone to pull a number out of their ass and tell you "how much more" you could be yielding if you actually ran consistent, high pressure aeroponics...

    Real world Hi-Pressure Aeroponics

Atomizer, what comparable Aquatec pump would you recommend as a replacement for this? http://www.steam-brite.com/store/shurflo-viton-seals-p-4296.html I've seen you recommending Aquatecs as quieter, so since I'm getting a backup pump I figure I might as well get a quieter pump for my main...

    Real world Hi-Pressure Aeroponics

Fucking sucks that the tree farmer thread is closed, lots of good talking points in there. So, I'm curious what people's thoughts are on air assisted vs. traditional HPA. Why do people seem to think that air-assisted is "better"? I'm confused by that - as far as I can tell, there's nothing...

    Real world Hi-Pressure Aeroponics

Pet, even the Atomix (the most expensive machine per sqft. ever developed for weed growing, to my knowledge) used a........fuck, now the name escapes me, but the NFT guys over in the UK use them..........um...........fuck, Atomizer will know - the root mat/capillary action things that you put on...
