TotalControl, really sick setup - can't wait to see this work out :)
Ignore any trolls - you know when you come in here talking about the initial startup costs a lot of people who can't afford it are going to hate on you ;)
Best of luck.
Sorry for the shitty pics - stretch will be done in about a week when I'll de-leaf (and tie up the buds to the screen) and the pics will be a lot better.
Plants are ~18" from the tube right now (not counting stray leaves that get much closer).
Looking forward to seeing pics of your construction of your pod.
Good luck - if you're taking votes, I think more small plants would do you better than a few large plants.
AdvancedNewbie, is there any possibility that a total programming idiot like myself could get anything out of this?
I write VBA pretty well for Excel and have some SQL experience, but the shit I read in this thread is so far over my head it's ridiculous.
Is there any way that you (or someone...
Budley, I like the cut of your jib :)
Don't have control over any of my functions remotely, but I can certainly see them (only temp and RH):

I use the Sentinel CHHC-1 (same as the CHHC-4, just a different colored light on the monitor) and a Marey tankless hot water heater (same as a Hydrogen watercooled CO2 generator).
Don't turn your plants, man.
Rotation is futile.
A lot of people have trouble grasping the difference between nature and a grow room................there's a reason indoor costs more than outdoor (because indoors we can make growing conditions ideal). Since it happens in nature, would we be...
Atomizer, felt bad mucking up the test thread so I was gonna ask you here instead.........
So this (I realize it's 50dB vs. the 40dB that the Bambi claims, but as a starter it seems reasonable enough to my untrained eye)...
Sorry man, didn't mean to come across as a dick.
A sealed room is just what the name implies; no air in, no air out. Since plants need CO2 for photosynthesis, it must be supplemented in a sealed room.
TB, what compressor are you using?
I think I saw something about a Craftsman but I'm not sure I missed something.
So really to run AA all you need is a compressor, a nozzle, and a solenoid? I already have solenoids, timers, and tubing out the ass...........are there not little hidden pieces...
They did with mine (so clearly it wasn't as sealed as it could've been - first to admit, I'm not carpenter).
Forced me to change to the hybrid system I have now.
Correct.
Assuming their time (caring for those vegging plants), space (they have a veg room whereas I would have another flower room - you don't make any money vegging), and electricity (for vegging) are free, then it's a non-issue.
Otherwise it's kind of an issue.
It's really simple - both...
Is there any reason one of the compressors I listed above wouldn't work? Not really too sure about this whole AA setup and what it requires - just a compressor and a couple of nozzles, correct? I already have solenoids and all the fixin's.
A few hundred for a compressor and then another few...
Check Craigslist for deals - there's always dentist offices going out of business.
You can get compressors like these (Atomizer, please chime in for why these would or wouldn't work, although it's 30dB vs the Bambi's 40) for cheap...
No.
If you have a sealed room, it's a sealed room.
No air in, no air out.............if he's running a filter, he's scrubbing the air and it's recirculating in the room.
Not sure how so many people are failing to grasp the concept of a sealed room.
I know a pump idea was brought up, but no one had used the word "peristaltic" and I thought it might be something worthwhile for you to look into. Just FYI, I read threads (in entirety, 99% of the time) before I comment on them.
No idea in the world what you're referring to about you chiming...
