Yeah, the anti-drip valves are definitely gonna be in my future - that's for sure - I'm sure there will be a little bit of drip with the length of runs I have, so I'll just deal with it in the meantime. And what do you mean by "sprayed lengthwise into a separate pipe that tee's into your main...

    An Atomizer for Aero

OP, last threadjack, I swear........ Atomizer, details (more so than in my PM to you, as well as some pics/video) are here: https://www.rollitup.org/hydroponics-aeroponics/398478-med-pressure-aero.html OP, sorry again..........don't mean to be rude, just under a bit of a time cruch...

    Med pressure Aero

Good post bro, thanks for that.........as far as your question about your radius with a 1K, if using a single 1K i'd go with 20".........if using two or more stacked on top of each other, than I'd bump it out a little further, bout 24". Yes, there are 30 misters for 15 columns, so two per...

    An Atomizer for Aero

Atomizer, sent you a PM whenever you get a chance - I'm doing a vertical TAG setup (will be setup within the next week) and would love some of your input. Sorry for the slight threadjack.

Actually, any *reasonably* tuned in drain to waste uses less water and nutes than a recirculating system (assuming the person does reservoir changes in the recirculating system). And HP aero requires a miniscule amount of nutes because of the efficiency with which the roots uptake said...

    Med pressure Aero

Here's a video from a couple of months ago when I first set it up.........it's changed many times since then, until ultimately now being converted to HP aero. My understanding was the higher the pressure the finer the mist, no? And from a guy I talked to at another site, he said a mister per...

    Med pressure Aero

Good thread, glad I found it - for some reason decided on a whim to convert my DIY Coliseum (pic below) to HP aero from its previous LP aero/NFT, and have about a week to get it setup and running.......... A couple of questions/links: 1) Deximus, why do you have your filter after the pump...

    Heaths Flooded Tube Vertical

Lol, I might...........changing up my system now - going with a 3" PVC base which will reduce my diameter from 7' to 5'. Also changing over to an HP aero drain to waste system instead of the recirculating LP aero/NFT system I had in place before. Gonna be running from 115-140PSI for a super...

    It's A Fuct World

The ones with wheels do not leak - have NEVER had any Sterilite leak. I'd recommend building (I do) a brace around the tub with 2x4s (costs $2 in materials, just a simple square with legs) to help the tub hold its shape and not bow from the water pressure. Again, Rubbermaids leak, Sterilites...

    It's A Fuct World

Ronjohn, you're much better off going with a Sterilite (they make a 45 gallon tote, I have shitloads of them) than the Rubbermaid - I have two of the 50 gallon Rubbermaids, they both leaked within six months (in addition, the handles only allow ~40 gallons of liquid in there, tops). If memory...

    It's A Fuct World

Oh, those were some clones I had in there just to test it out, but went to Europe for two weeks and decided to kill them (just let them die)..........(was still a new and untested system and didn't wanna come home to a flooded/burned down house surrounded by cops). And yeah, it is complex (and...

    It's A Fuct World

Al, great to see around - hope you're happy and healthy in the new year. Started out being LP aero/NFT but I'm currently converting it to TAG (aka HP Aero). Figured I'd share a quick bit of my little twist on the typical SOG:

Lol............upgrading my octagon to HP aero (aka ""TAG") right now, but I'm over at THC Farmer if you wanna find me: http://www.thcfarmer.com/forums/f8/4-600s-3-1000s-22756/

    True Horizontal verticle grow

I've got 15 columns with 6 plants per column (90 plants). 4 600s stacked vertically in a Vertitube 4L600 from Octagon Hydroponics in the center. No plants in there yet, but here's a video of how it works: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BrWEfZ_4tuY

I think my system is pretty comparable.

    new vertical hydro system

I have a "similar" system that I made myself, and also have a Vertitube (mine has 4 600s though, not 3 1Ks).

Thinking of R.O. water? You may want to think again.

Also, if your tap water is magically infused with the perfect amount of H&G nutes (like mine is), YOU NEVER NEED TO BUY NUTES!!! I'm gonna go start a thread, "Thinking of nutes? You may want to think again."

Make that all three of us; this dude is too nuts for me. Good night all.

See sentence #3 in the post you took my quote from. Not hard to see why you get banned so often, bro.

Thinking of R.O. water? You may want to think again.

Long story short, if you're growing in a very high output system (aero, DWC, NFT, etc.) without a medium than an RO filter is almost assuredly a good buy. If you're growing in a slower, more forgiving medium like soil (or its cousin hempy buckets), than you can get away with not using RO...
