    Vertical light mover

I have four stacked 600s in a cooltube. I feel like that's "too much" light to truly maximize my efficiency (another way to say, I think that might be overkill for my setup). I thought about ditching the cooltubes and getting a light mover for three bulbs, but then decided to keep all four...

    A real vert set up!!!

There's "real" vert setups on here - you just need to know where to look :)

Nice seeing you back, bro - I hope everything worked itself out okay for ya.

    Bypass vs Demand Pump

I just need to ramp down my misting times and increase my pauses (or, get a lot larger variation in my pressure switch differential) - pump was running for 30 seconds every 15 minutes (now two minutes and LOUD), so if I could get that down to 30 seconds every hour or a longer run (a few minutes)...

    Heaths Flooded Tube Vertical

Still using it, bro. Been taking my time with it as it's a prototype; gonna flip the switch in a couple of days after I put a screen in there (really been dragging my feet on this). I'll throw up a pic or two sometime in the next couple of days. EDIT: and to Jig's point, I'm not sure if I...

    Bypass vs Demand Pump

Thanks; I think I'm gonna just order another Shur-Flo (only one I can find that goes up to 150PSI, which I need with my pressure switch going up to 125PSI) and see if I can figure out what happened to the first one - I could try to adjust my pressure switch, but I'm gonna pass on that. BTW...

    Bypass vs Demand Pump

Mike, seems I may have a similar issue to what you had - my Shurflo 150PSI pump is now running for 2 minutes at a time (used to be 30 seconds, and misting/pause schedule has not changed) every 15 minutes, and has started to sound exactly like you described - a car with an engine problem, and...

    new vertical hydro system

Lol.........probably should've explained that - those were clones I put in there for a couple of days just to make sure the system worked, then I let them die because I went to Europe for two weeks and didn't want to leave a brand new system unattended for that long.

    aeroponics fogger nozzles

Are you looking for LP sprayer heads or HP nozzles? If HP, you want "misting nozzles".

1 micron filter clogged after 1 week

Haole, is your filter inline? I have a 1 micron filter on the end of my feed hose, but it's a bag - no clogging issues yet, been running it for a month or two and even have some soil in my system. Have a 200 mesh prefilter on my return line to my reservoir to catch all the big junk, though.

Thanks bro, appreciate the info :)

    DIY Flood Table

Nice setup, bro - question for ya - why do you use hydroton in your netpots and not just run a media-less setup with neoprene collars and netpots? Have you ever tried it, and if so, why'd you go back to hydroton?

    Real world Hi-Pressure Aeroponics

You don't run "Variable HPA" - you run VPA, which is Variable Pressure Aeroponics. Your pressure starts at 0 and then eventually ramps up to high pressure (unknown PSI, so I'm assuming it gets to "high" pressure), before ramping back down to 0. Therefore, your style encompasses low, medium...

    Real world Hi-Pressure Aeroponics

Bro, I said from the gate (before it was setup) that I wasn't going after pretty roots with this - I did this conversion in the interest of energy savings (getting rid of a 600 watt pump, chiller, and a couple of other pumps) - no more, no less. If I got pretty roots that'd be great (and I did...

    Real world Hi-Pressure Aeroponics

Yeah bro, those look like my EZ Clone 120 roots when I take out my cuttings - that's LP Aero, FYI. BTW, because you did something (like messing around with your feedtimes, which you're obviously still working on) which may or may not have produced "pom pom" roots does not mean that the "pom...

    Real world Hi-Pressure Aeroponics

TF has already done that for us, and has demonstrated that it can be done very well. No offense intended, but I've never seen you produce HP roots (your roots are LP, insofar as I can tell), so I have my doubts about your understanding of how they grow - they are light and fluffy enough (as...

High Pressure Aeroponics (HPA) Growers Guide

I didn't misunderstand; what makes you think flowering causes new "pom pom" roots to develop? You're the only person I've ever heard say that. And no offense bro, but I'll go with TF and the makers of the Atomix system (and other commercial HP aero systems) in their thinking of pod design -...

    Real world Hi-Pressure Aeroponics

Petflora, I'm not sure where/how you've come to the conclusion that roots can only grow down - it's faulty. Again, if they're proper light and fluffy HP roots, they can grow upwards, if need be. A silk screen on the bottom of the container prevents roots from sitting in any water, so where...

    Real world Hi-Pressure Aeroponics

As I explained in the thread you started, it doesn't appear as though your height "rules" for pods are very accurate if we go by TF's newest pod, which is 2' tall and designed to grow 5-6' trees. If growing "proper" HP roots, they're light enough that they can grow up and out, unlike spaghetti...

High Pressure Aeroponics (HPA) Growers Guide

You should let people know that the underlined/bolded statements above are your opinion and go against most other's feelings on the matter - root hairs develop instantly, not "magically" at flower (I have no idea why you think that's so) - I had them on my clones within a couple of days of...
