Bottom line if we are ever going to achieve universal health care for every American the voters have to change their mindset and vote out those politicians that are against healthcare for all and vote into office those politicians that believe it is our right to have healthcare.
Make no mistake about it all those countries with better healthcare than ours have one thing in common...the Government controls how it is implemented, the #1 country providing healthcare to its people (France) allows 6-12 months of maternity leave and their employer pays 35% of their salary while the Government pays 65% while they are on leave, the Government sends in a nanny/caretaker to help the new mom I think childcare is also free or low cost, medication is $10 no matter the quantity, Germany has a similar program.
It's a fucking outright shame that the richest country in the world won't provide "free" healthcare for its citizenry but instead are left to fend for themselves with for profit healthcare companies.
We the people need to make the Goverment work for us and not the other way around.
