@xtsho U seem to have some good landrace experience. I'm just waiting on some Rasol Village, Moroccan Beldia and Aladdin's Kush from Khalifa. I only have 160cm tents at the moment (2x4x5, 2.3x2.3x5.5, and 3x3x5.5). Should I even consider attempting a Rasol Landrace with this setup or just run an alladin's skunk (stabilised skunk #1, 75/25 sativa) if looking for a good Sativa?
You can do it but but you'll want to go with a short veg time and do some training. Even then you'll likely end up running out of height.. My tent is 80 inches tall 6.6ft and I've had issues with how tall some plants get even when I only veg a couple weeks. But where there's a will there's a way and you could make it work. But the Alladins Skunk might be a better choice for such a short tent.

Keep in mind that landraces like the Rasoli do not like to be overfed and less is better. Overfeeding is what many have issues with. You can always bend a plant over if it gets too tall but if you overfeed it can have a very negative effect on the plant and final product.

Good luck with whatever you do grow.

So has anyone actually flipped the Malawi or similar genetics at 7 days from seed?
My housemate grew Malawi 11/13 from seed. They still took something like seven weeks to enter flower from what I recall.

Regardless of when you flip, the plant still needs to be mature. Usually alternating nodes signifies maturity and readiness to show sex.

I've had countless photos take four-five weeks, some even more (the sativa doms or 100% sativas usually take longer) to show sex even if provided a 12/12 cycle from day one.

I've 2 x Malawi regular seedling going now. Planted a few weeks apart.
I started them in a 3" pots.

The first one stretched a bit and I transplanted it into a litre pot, burying the stream down deep.
I started it under 24 hr light.
The plant is ~ 5"s tall with 5 nodes now.
I put it under 12 hrs on, 12 hrs off yesterday.
I've read they like 10 - 11.5 hrs of light but 12 hrs will have to do as ive indica and hybrids flowering in the same area.
The Malawi is under 3 x citizen 1212 cobs at 50 watts for now.
250 ppfd at the top of it.

They will definately stretch with that little light. I usually go 500umol from pop and increase to 700-900umol at the end of week one with ally plants. 250umol just seems very low. I've grown seedling at 800umol from day one with no signs of light stress. Check out Bruce Bugbees videos on cannabis light intensity, he mentions how tolerant to heavy light even marijuana seedling are.

The stretch from the Malawi's I have seen is brutal. Hopefully it stays under control.

Gonna pinch the top shortly.
Im just letting it get used to the light for a few days before ramping it up.

I read an interesting old article on sativas.
'How to manage sativas indoors.'

The only reason I went at your light intensity is I did the same thing with a Laos Highland. It was stacking nice during the first few weeks and thought I'd be good at 400umol for young plants.

At week 5 of veg it was only 32" tall and I thought I had it under control..two weeks later it was 60" tall, and stretched for another 5 weeks. Ended up giving it to a mate so he could throw it outdoors and it ended up 11 foot tall.

Here's two crosses of the Laos Highland and BCN critical I made. They weren't even done with stretch at that point, and only vegged for 7-8 weeks.

Definitely had no plans of ordering more seeds, but 20% off and domestic free shipping of Ace gear to add, I couldn't pass it up.

Had A5 Haze in the cart but it got sold, as well as the Malawi regs.

I've got a couple GT I've been running for about a year now, I'm really interested in how the Malawi compares.

As soon as I get them in, I'm starting a Tikal, Panama Haze, and Malawi fems.

Soon I will be harvesting some Purple haze Malawi.

My golden tiger are coming along. New system so had a few hiccups. Thought I killed 1 so I started another seed. Everybody survived so now I have a cup of coco going.

The coco plant was started in the towel 4/17.

The other 2 probably a week earlier but I stunted them.

Everything on track now. Ec is about 1. Ph is about 6.

Only feeding ro water to the coco atm

1 looks very sativa. The other 2 not so much.

The Malawi is frosting up nicely and still has a long ways to go. I don't think they'll be done in the 10-13 weeks ACE says. They could have been slowed down though as I pulled the heater out of the tent and then we got some cold temps and I never put it back in so they had some really chilly days when the light was off.

Easy on the nutrients if you're growing it. I was running 1.5 EC and started to get burnt tips and dark green leaves. I backed of to 1.0 EC and they seem to like that much better.

Can't beat service like this, first time having actual breeder packs from Ace, instead of the tiny piece that contains the name with stealth shipping.

I already have a full tent, more than full, part of the reason I was happy to get a few fems in the mix so I can start a few and better plan my overcrowding spaces.

Now I just have to decide which and how many. I know Malawi will probably be 2 getting started, my golden tigers are good, but I want to experience the Malawi in the description, I believe the Thai influence in my two override it.

I'm thinking at least 1 Panama haze since it's said to be the most psychedelic in certain phenos.

And maybe 2 Tikal, 1 for sure, and I'll be able to compare it to destroyer which I just harvested and have another in flower as well.

I'm sitting here thinking about how I'm going to make room for 5 or 6 more, but the good is they don't take up much space the first 4 weeks. I'll probably throw some in flower to cull out the room since I'm looking at a good 10 weeks before some of these are sexually mature.
