yeh for cfl's you generally want to use warm white or soft white (2700k)for flower and daylight (5000-6000k) for veg. bright/cool white is usually somewhere in the middle..Different manufacturers use different terms though. Generally I try to stick with warm white or daylight.
plant will sometimes double or triple in size during flower. I'd try to get a nice flat almost full canopy, then flip to flower. The first 2 weeks of flower you will get a bunch of stretch and it will fill the rest of the cabinet. I would start training early and maybe top it once or twice when...
Hi. I was wondering if someone can help me figure if I got the right potentiometers?
will this driver <---
work with these pots? <---
I've wired up cobs before but I've never added a potentiometer...
I'd say 12-16" is ok for them till they get roots....clones don't need too much light. Once they root and start growing though you will want to drop the lights much closer so they don't stretch, and maybe top them too if you want them to bush out
Give them more time and keep the bottoms moist. Don't pull anymore out! The tips where you cut them always turn brown..it's the cuttings rooting hormone collecting in the tip in preparation to form roots. Usually I see some yellowing start just as the roots are about to pop. Just keep em...
glad to see you were able to grab some clones. I generally give my clones ph'd tap water till I see some roots...then I go straight to gh's 6micro/9bloom/2calmag ph'd at 5.9 (aka h3ad formula) .... use that simple formula and I guarantee you will see amazing results.
cool I love speakerbox grows. You're gonna need to lightproof those intakes...check out 'scrublouver' it's an easy to build low profile light trap created by a forum user named scrubninja. If you add a filter I suggest the wolfman zen style diy pencil holder carbon filter...they work great for...
dank hands -
1. at around 4-5 weeks..right when max pistils are showing. I've found that pollinating earlier results in less seeds because the plant focuses on seed production rather then forming new pistils.
2. Yes, as long as you take proper precautions not to get pollen on other parts of...
Rum - unfortunately I'm working with a bagseed, but it's from 'ken's cut' of gdp. I have some pics of the mother, f1 I selected (out of 15 females) the f2 mother which was selected from about 20 females etc...I'm only on the f3 gen right now and sex is just starting to show on a few males...
I'm a few generations into a gdp auto project. On the first cross (f1) of the gdp/auto don't expect any autos...instead select the best gdp male and female and cross them, the resulting seeds be 25% auto..meaning 1 in 4 will be auto...pop a ton of them and from there kill all the nonautos and...
Hi Stinkbud! I just wanted to stop by and give huge thanks and respect for all the work you've done posting here. I followed your thread here over 2 years ago and didn't have the chance or courage to run hydro till a little while ago. I ran a stinkbud single and had amazing results!!!If it...
This is the best diy filter that i've used/built. it's lasted me about 4 months and has had about 2-3 ounces filtered through it...it's getting a little weaker, but still working...I plan on changing the carbon soon.
The original design is great, except I had a small problem with the inner...
hps is great for flowering, for vegetative growth you might want to use a more "blue" spectrum such as mh, cmh, or flouros....hps will work for veg but you will have better results (less stretch) with a wider spectrum.
are you using a carbon filter? if so then use that to muffle some of the sound...a noisy fan can be almost impossible to make quiet without adding tons of insulation around it...You could try a fan controller to slow it down a little, or possibly look into a quieter fan. It really depends on how...
I've had a few faulty bulbs like that, sometimes they're just barely dimmer then a normal one...other times you can barely tell they're on like how you described.
your best option is to just try another bulb....just grab one from around the house and see if it fires up in there. If it doesn't...
check 1000bulbs.com for the fulham workhorse ballasts, they're alot cheaper than 100$ more like 30-50$usd one could put together a 110w pll setup with ballast and sockets for 50$ from that site. not sure if they sell the 65 watt ones, but they have 55w and those would be safe to overdrive to...
