    Help need experienced helper!

I'd just spray the surface of your soil with neem about once every 1 or 2 weeks as a preventative measure. In my area, lowe's carrys some kinda neem mixture..I saw it right by the fish emulsions somewhere...hope that helps. oh and not pure neem or anyhting...like 1 tsp to a gallon or so...

someone found my decoy grow again

maybe you could spread a few human fingers around the base of the plants...or just some evil looking shit, like candles in a circle and a dead chicken...or better yet, half a dead chicken...not be confused with a half dead chicken :P . paranoia can be your friend, and ALOT of ppl are...

Quick Question about lights please help.

sorry I totally disagree with the bigger is better when it comes to cfls...25-35 watt bulbs put out more lumens per watt then bigger bulbs, which makes them more efficient..also the size and shape of larger cfl bulbs is much less efficient than the smaller ones as well, they're also cheaper and...

First Grow Box Build/Grow 660w CFL

oh and lol...when I say "random" stuff I don't mean like dirty socks, broken glass and empty cans of tuna..rofl..more like a lil chunk of compost blended with a lil chunk of banana and some earthworm castings..strained and seeped in the sun fer a day, then "bubbled" into a tea as a supplement...

First Grow Box Build/Grow 660w CFL

umm I would guess that a gardening store that's a little more specialized would carry the right kinda lime, I'm having trouble finding it myself and am currently using some pelletized that i got at HD in the gardening area (better then nothing i figure)..haven't had the chance to go back to...

    First time growing, need advice

that light is plenty for this early of growth..just keep it close. but plan on getting alot more watts when you get into vegging or flowering (like 8-12 inches tall or so) like probly ~75watts per sq foot for veg and 100+watts per sq foot for flowering (those are cfl #'s, actual watts not...

First Grow Box Build/Grow 660w CFL

I would add some pulverized dolomite lime to the mix as well, it will help as a ph buffer..and does other little neat things too. I think you'll do fine with that mix though, as long as it's mixed in the proper proportions, and you know what yer doing with yer liquids (sounds like you do) the...

    Humidity

    growing upside down

wow i think this is a great experiment and grow upside down can have it's advantages and disadvantages. I can't believe no one has mentioned gravitropism!!! heh, 6 pages..not a word. cannabis is a gravitropic plant in both root structure and growth structure, meaning the roots will always try...

    Tie down material?

best method i've seen is to put a rubberband or 2 around the container and feed the ends of a loop of yarn through it, very easy to adjust on the fly and no untying.

    ??????

lol which leaves? the lil round seedling leaves, or the first "true" set? if its the lil round leaves it's natural that they turn yellow and dry up soon after sprouting. if you are using pure MG organic, it's too "hot" for young plants and they will have very slow growth because of too many...

Some questions about lighting, temp GROWING etc...

best affordable lighting: it all depends on how big you plan on growing those 8 plants and how much you expect to harvest of them and how often..in a small grow cfls can be very efficient if used properly. for a larger grow, ie larger plants, larger yields you'll definately want hps or cmh...

Carbon Filter - Limiting Airflow, but by how much???

different carbon filter designs will reduce cfm by different amounts due to surface area and thickness of the carbon. is it a diy filter or a premade one? if it's a premade one, post what it is and maybe someone with the same one can chime in with more info. if it's a diy one..then i...

    Need help with grow box

that chick bulb will stretch out your plants like crazy due to all the infrared light, if you need a "heat" type bulb go buy a ceramic reptile bulb that puts out just heat and no light. and yes the light from the chick light will interupt the flowering cycle and the plant won't consider it...

    Looking for some advice

what are your goals? are you just doing this for fun or to save $ on weed? set some goals for yourself like how much you would like to harvest per plant and how often you would need to harvest to stay supplied or w/e. once you sort that out, you can figure out what sort of grow area to design to...

    Light Intensity Explanation For EVERYONE

great info! I wanted to point out that these figures would be for an "empty" area with nothing blocking the orginal light source(s). I could never see my self using a single light source no matter what the circumstances, simply due to the fact that multiple light sources will always have better...
