Powering a pc Fan controller via PSU

Hi ! here's a quick link to your issue. In short, jumper the green to the black to signal the PS to power up. I highly recommend just using an old dc adapter (1$ @ at thrift store) or a buying a 15$ molex powersupply though instead.

100w replacement LED bulbs for small spaces

I have had great results flowering with 12.5w feit omni bulbs...got about a gram watt(no diffusers). That was running about 70 watts per square foot, growing short single cola plants. You're right though the cost of sockets makes the price jump a bit. I've since switched to cobs.

Somewhat new, with a few questions for the pros...

hmm mine is a few years old. After a quick look they might be discontinued...maybe another brand makes a similar one, I dunno. You might be able to get a deal on a used one, but I'd want to know why they're discontinued first. I've never had any problems with the 2 I have(used ~3years straight)...

Somewhat new, with a few questions for the pros...

If you want 175w hps you can get a dimmable ballast and run at 175. I have a lumitek and it goes 150/175/250/superlumens. I used to run a 250w bulb in it and dial it down to 150w, I was able to get much longer bulb life doing this. I also felt the larger shape of the 250w bulb put out a much...

You might get more responses if you post this in the led section instead. It is a sub-forum of indoor growing.

    carbon filter rolls?

hmm I'm not familiar those those carbon pad things. I've had alot of success with the wolfman zen diy pencil holder filters though . They end up being around 10-15$ each. I use several of them in my setups.

    Vertical T5 Perpetual Wardrobe *idea*

I think running a nice solid perpetual system depends alot on your ability to produce a steady supply of clones. One thing I've learned about running lots of little clone is - put them in when they're ready. Don't try to squeeze in 5 clones at the same time..put em in one by one as they're...

Exhaust ventilation question. Can it tie into furnace PVC exhaust?

I wouldn't mess with it...it's important that the exhaust from your hotwater heater or heater goes outside your home...it's getting rid of poisonous carbon monoxide. There's most likely an easier, safer way. If you realllly want to tap into it to remove additional exhaust, add a 'Y' pipe...

    Dresser grow box

oohh.. that's just a cool little genetic mutation. I had some lemon haze that would grow double stacked leaves...and some strawberry haze that would grow lil tiny buds right in the center of the leaf.

    Rate this kit 1-10

I agree with grouch. Throwing it together yourself would be about 1/2 the price. Cobs are the future of lighting...try to find a user that's unhappy with their cobs. Just check out growmau5's diy videos about COBS on youtube. I'm on my first run still with my new cobs, but I'm on track to break...

    Juicy Space Bucket

yeh I like the idea of a bigger bin though...I've seen a few in garbage cans. Like inefectualize's 'the high pod'

    Juicy Space Bucket

I did a small one once....way too small for me. To me the whole point of growing in a bucket is to be stealthy and concealed. With spacebuckets there's just not enough room to squeeze everything in there without having some big tubes or fans sticking out....which imo defeats the purpose. I'd...

Speaker Box Micro Grow--Pictures+progress as i go-help/advice apprereciated

lookin good man... I have a set of tower speakers and they work out great. I have another box already for moms n clones and veg...so both speakers are for flowering. They're built identically with a cob and some pc fans. I have them logged elsewhere...so I won't link it here. Search 'micro...

    Interesting ph question.

'drinking water' or 'spring water' are basically the same thing...tapwater. You might be thinking of distilled or reverse osmosis water though...and that's not very good for your plants because it's not ph stable and doesn't contain the micro nutrients that's included in tap water. If you use...

    Question about air flow.

"You don't have any money to buy a carbon filter and fan, but you do have money to by an ozone generator and an air purifier?" exactly what I was thinking. Plain and simple...if you don't have money for a proper setup you should just save up and wait till you can buy some proper equipment.

    Careerforacityboy's Stealth Cabinet Build

I recommend the ->wolfman zen diy carbon filter. I've used quite a few of them and they work great, are easy to make, and cheap. You might need to double up on them and create dual exhausts if one won't cut it. I use them with cheap 80mm pc fans and I'd guess they can handle about 50w of heat...
