if you don't mind me asking Uncle Buck, as we are not at work here, well i am but i don't mind, which one of the ass-hats do you hope lands in the white house this november?

since you seem to have successfully converted this topic into a discuss Ron Paul topic also.

Yeah, he looks pretty good for a 65 year old. I guess they keep him in a pickle jar when he isn't campaigning. :p
i bet the man has never had a callous in his entire life.

edit: perhaps he came close while strapping his dog to the roof of the car for a 12 hour trip.

Thats a much better way to say what I wanted to (I am somewhat lacking in composition skills), thank you.
Your welcome. The main purpose of etiquette is to keep every day interactions from spiraling out of control. Out of control like this one did.

If the cashier had not breached one of the primary rules about discussing politics the out of control response would not have happened.

If the young man had followed the rules and not lost it, the event could have ended nicely. All he had to say was, 'We all have our opinions and some, particularly, are better kept to themselves. Don't you think?' The, don't you think, is a very polite way of allowing someone to ease out of situation and save face.

Instead, he was rude and l presume loud and belittled a woman whom he even commented was working hard. No matter what she had said, his behavior left him looking like a cad in the eyes of everyone else. He is obviously has some kind of mental Napoleon complex since he thinks that verbally threatening a person with their menial job made him feel better about himself.

He behaved how he presumes the 1% he complains about behaves. I bet he complains that they behave holier than thou, and looks down on the working class and he hates how they treat people... people just like that woman...

The use of etiquette would have prevented it all.

He said older lady not ELDERLY lady. Jesus, you guys could spin a book out of a limerick.
Normalcy bias has you by the balls, the cognitive dissonance is strong with you.

the mutha fuckin article said:
The cashier was an older white woman and she looked like she'd had a hard life. I often feel bad when I see older people still working when, in a just society, they shouldn't have to.
Obviously she is over retirement age of 65. While that isn't ancient by any means it is considered "old" by most. And why does this guy make a point about her being white? Is he racist?

What i find interesting is that the first customer acted disinterested and went on her way, she handled it correctly. The guy just HAS to say something so he can feel superior. He felt so damned good about it he made it public for the whole world to read. Jerk.
