It's going to be Mr.Toads Wild Ride on steroids. I don't even want to look at this until later- too many things will occur to change the trajectory and looks right now (to me) like a jigsaw puzzle with the pieces scattered.https://www.newsweek.com/trump-odds-2024-election-rally-1777841
bookies have trump winning nomination, but desantis winning the election. they have Biden beating trump handily, but not desantis.

Polls aren't the most useful metric for predicting anything, really, but they're all we have at the moment that is even slightly better than wild speculation.
It's my considered opinion that IF the democrats don't start a huge advertising campaign very soon, that no matter how much good they do between now and Nov. 24, they may not do so well. They have a chance right now to get billboards up, not only pointing out that Biden lowered gas prices, that democrats helped women retain at least some of their rights, that Biden tried to help students, but was blocked by republicans...but also billboards and ads running that tell you not only exactly what republican in general want to do, but what the specific republicans in targeted areas want to do...that is worth pouring many millions into, and I'd get started NOW.
keep democratic victories fresh in their minds, and republican defeats and crimes.
Of course, this is all contingent upon whether or not the DOJ actually ever charges any republicans for being the seditious low life criminal fucks they are...
If trump, greene, boebert, gosar, biggs, brooks, and goemert get indicted, it will be a seriously damaging and damning blow to the party. If they get convicted, it will change the face of politics...the magats will crawl back into the woodwork, and start plotting again.
The dudes a grifter. He sells CBD oil.
Dear God in Heaven..this is a two party system. Don't you get this part yet?3rd party?
And which party exactly do you see a "Cheney/Kissinger ticket" belonging to, which was the basis of my comment?Dear God in Heaven..this is a two party system. Don't you get this part yet?
If DeSantis wins the GOP nomination, Trump will likely run a Bull Moose campaign and deliver the election to the Dems.
it's not your only choice..you can do nothing...or you can pick the lesser of two evils. And which party exactly do you see a "Cheney/Kissinger ticket" belonging to, which was the basis of my comment?
Also, the two party system has changed and evolved over the course of our history, and I refuse to accept that my only choice is to pick the lesser of two evils.
Peej..they are not the lesser of two evils..you had a say in this Left or Right to get a nominee. So far you haveAnd which party exactly do you see a "Cheney/Kissinger ticket" belonging to, which was the basis of my comment?

Not only that if you're in a Rightie Caucus state you get to choose over and over until you get one over 50%..they do it in a gymnasium for ease of re-seating after your loser choice.it's not your only choice..you can do nothing...or you can pick the lesser of two evils.
of course, one of the two evils is a LOT lesser than the other. It really shouldn't be a hard choice to make.
A. ignore both sides and hope they go away while your head is in the sand.
B. support the party that is trying to take rights away from everyone who doesn't think, act, look, and talk like them.
C. support the party that occasionally does something unpalatable, while trying to make the country a better place for all of the people in it.
seems like a pretty easy decision to make.
Yes and what exactly happened to the party after John Adams' death and Federalist? And which party exactly do you see a "Cheney/Kissinger ticket" belonging to, which was the basis of my comment?

I will take option D, and (assuming that there is no candidate which I consider viable produced by either of the major parties) will vote for a third party or Independent candidate. Sure, you might consider it a "useless vote", but I see it to be no more wasted than any other sort of historical political protest, which took a long time to accomplish. Was Rosa Parks' refusal to sit in the back of the bus in 1955 a useless act, simply because the Civil Rights Act wasn't passed until nearly a decade later? Change takes time, and bigger changes take longer. Changing the lesser of the two evils system won't change in the next election cycle or two, but it may make progress. If everyone accepts stagnation into the two-party system, there will never be some other options. So, if anything you should be thanking me for cracking the doors open, rather than villainizing me for my rejection to support the lesser of two evils.it's not your only choice..you can do nothing...or you can pick the lesser of two evils.

You put yourself in some pretty heady company....Was Rosa Parks' refusal to sit in the back of the bus in 1955 a useless act, simply because the Civil Rights Act wasn't passed until nearly a decade later?
Rosa Parks was a huge activist and organizer..that one act on the bus was one of many. Learn her history. She was able to shine a light on Segregation by way of opportunity and careful planning.I will take option D, and (assuming that there is no candidate which I consider viable produced by either of the major parties) will vote for a third party or Independent candidate. I don't fall squarely into any of your defined parties. While I certainly empathize with many Libertarian principles, I definitely do not identify as one. I believe in social services too much to consider myself in the Libertarian camp. While I also support many aspects of Socialism, I also think that there's a point where it goes too far, and veers into an authoritarian lane, which is where the Dems seem to be now. I think that some of the fiscal ideas of conservatives make sense, they tend to take it too far, and are generally hypocritical in terms of their budgetary process; of course there's also the big issue of general xenophobia and 'isms ingrained withing the GOP, which I can not tolerate. If I was to identify with any party it would likely be either the Peace & Freedom Party or Green Party, but they need an intelligent charismatic leader to move one of those parties forward in a viable way. Honestly I don't think that would be too hard, if the right person was to lead the party. I'm not sure who that would be, and of course both the Dims and Repugs would combine forces to schmear that person out of existence however possible.I feel if we had Sanders that actually might have been possible- Democratic Socialist Party..we've been pulled so far Right..GOP is not Ronnie's party any more. I'm not understanding where you fall. Libertarian? Is my guess.
I didn't say "not voting", I said voting third party. You still seem to think that we are stuck with only two options. You put yourself in some pretty heady company....
You not voting is in no way analogous to Rosa Parks refusing to be treated like property any longer.
And yes, it is a useless act, in fact, it's worse than useless. If there clearly is a better, or even a "less worse" choice, then not taking that choice is failing to do damage control that was well within your means to do, and abrogates your "right" to complain about a situation...
As a young man, my dad left Florida and told me he felt that two thousand miles was a comfortable distance.Peej..they are not the lesser of two evils..you had a say in this Left or Right to get a nominee. So far you haveTrump, Haley and DeSantis (when Trump has a line through his name) DeSantis is willing to go far above and beyond Trump. I remember his campaign vids. .5% margin win>>Team Gillum turned into 1.5% alchemy win DeSantis. Don't say gay, Critical Race Theory..boy, I'm so glad he's gotten down to the meat and bone of kitchen table issues!
How could you not want this guy?
Those old fucks at The Villages can't die soon enough..they wrecked Florida.
