I don't know greek but I know a guy.....
It's pretty clear bro. Read all you want into the meaning but the words are the words, just like the words that are used against our gay brothers and sisters. Oh, did I not allow you to interperet?
All it says about homosexuality is that it is a sin. Same as adultery, or thinking your neighbor has a hot wife.
It is man that adds to that. The bible says man shall not lay with man as he lays with women. That's pretty much all it says. It is the humans who go wrong here.
The church i go to, while not embracing homosexuality (no more so than it embraces adultery) does not condemn homosexuals. They welcome homosexuals, just like they welcome any sinner.
They don't tell them they can pray away the gay, or that they are a special evil kind of sinner.
Just that they are sinners, and should not be looked down on just because their sin is homosexuality, instead of greed or gluttony.
My preacher actually said "a fat man in the back row is just as much of a sinner as a gay couple in the front row."
Christians like to engage in finger pointing. It is easy to pick on homosexuals. This is changing from within in the Christian faith.
The majority of Christians, I think, know it is wrong to single out homosexuals.
However, I do not think many pastures will be doing homosexual weddings, just as many will not marry a heterosexual couple if either of them have been married before and their ex spouse is still living.
It will always be seen as a sin, but the double standard, and harsher treatment is ending.
