Since no libertarian has ever won a major election I think they have a good strategy in infiltrating the GOP. I don't recognize the republican party anymore and with their spending and government expansion, I don't see the difference anymore. Other than it might be just a tad less than other side. Their efforts to make the GOP actually stick to their own platform is commendable.
I chuckle when someone preaches personal liberties, personal freedom, personal responsibility, limited government and get called radical, terrorists and extreme by both sides. It means they are doing something right.
Our health care debate exposed what the GOP leadership really is. They kept offering shitty central planning plans to compete with the shitty central planning plan we went with. Very few had the nerve to say "let's let the states decide like we are supposed to" and those who did got crucified.
I'd love to sit with a group of WWII vets who lived through the FDR "recovery", and put their lives on the line defending our way of life, just to get their perspective of things today. Especially things like drone bombing citizens and "that hateful video".
