Voidlings First Cab

My pump doesn't list cfm, merely says for 10 - 30 gallon tanks. The airstones also lack info.

I bought a 3' flexible air bubbler that hopefully works.

I also bought aqua shield. 15$ for a small bottle. Should of picked up dzo and what not as well.

Well the hose had an air connector on each end, so not sure if it's meant to be used with a double out put pump or two separate pumps or what. I threw a t and connected both ends. It gives me a better dispersal of bubbles. The surface looks like a gentle simmer now. I'll put in aqua shield and see how it goes.

I'm waiting to see if my flowering side roots or not before adding aquashield. If they all die I'm pulling the tub and dumping all the loose coco floating about. Will only use hydroton or grow rocks from now on

I meant liters per minute, sorry about that. (there is a conversion to cfm but irrelevant)
The diffusers have those connecters on each end so you can chain them together. The more the merrier ;)
They say you should only buy glass or glass coated (composite stone) diffusers for the purpose of sanitizing with a clean rinse. (It won't be an issue for a while but keep it in mind)
What size of bottle was the aquashield? Their quart looks small, it will last for a pretty long time. Your stoked, that stuff works really good. The pythium (slime) can wipe out a mature root system in a matter of days you can imagine how hard it is for cuts to root with it around.

But it didn't come with an end cap. You eventually need to cap the end for it to work.

I didn't know about the glass thing. I don't think my blue Wal-Mart ones are glass.

Does that look like enough bubble to you?

That's odd they usually come with a cap, I have fish tanks too I have been through a boatload through the years. Either way it's better to hook a second pump anyway.

I had to order the commercial grade glass ones online, was ebay or amazon they were cheap too like 3-4 bucks each for big ole fat ones (1.5x4inches cylider shape). That shit's not necessary though, more of an ideal. I used the blue ones from wal mart for years.

As far as enough air, it will pass but you definitely want to get it looking like a good rolling boil. Another pump when it's convenient will have your flex humming.
I like the set up! That sucker will be making roots in no time.

Thanks. I hope so. I'm thinking of switching to aero if this doesn't pass muster. I already have spare water pumps and I think they should be quieter than the air pumps. It's rather noisy and I have the tetra whisper pump.

Those pumps are really quiet too comparatively, I used to use a (30-60) dual outlet. It's on my 50 gallon fish tank now.

A submersible water pump is quiet, they have all that water dampening the sound! Man I hear ya (literally) lol, sound adds up from all the fans, pumps and junk!

**btw, if you do go with the aero even if for the fun of it I suggest keeping your res water aerated (pumped). It cannot be overstressed how important an aerobic environment is to dissuade things like pythium from growing in your equipment.

Yeah I'll probably aerate with the power head. The trickling water sound is more pleasant than the Shiite pump hum. Wish I had a way to test o2 levels in water.

Impatiently waiting for roots on these things

Well my pumps won't have enough pressure for anything but drip systems. I'll see how my swc with power head does before deciding what to do next.

Fuck I forgot to go to home depot for pics. I'll just have to do a wire up on wiring the lighting without those pics.

When do you plan to start building?

I'll tell you what, my rig would drive you up the wall. It's loud, it's basically an airbrush pump.
I like the sound of my fish tanks trickling water too, it's peaceful.

Is your rig in your bedroom? That's why noise and light leaks are such a big deal to more. My exhaust fan on my flower cab is way too loud. Even when throttled down. Maybe a bigger fan throttled down would of been quieter. Can't wait to move and setup in a spare bedroom. Then I want a tent for sure.

Ya space is an issue usually, I prefer the great outdoors to all else. Indoor anything is more like a test lab :) or prep kitchen :D
Some day I will have a phatass greenhouse!

I hear ya bro, but "can't" is a subjective term my good man!
*disclaimer, I am not inciting you to go outside ;)
Nothing like some elbow room and a giant tree harvest though, just saying lol
All that was a total digression B)
