There is no 'right' v 'left': it is Trump and the oligarchs against the rest

Anybody can make a mistake, even you (lol).

Are you really saying that because the essay came from Reich it must be true?

Reich is ignoring the fact that people have many reasons to choose a candidate. Reich claims in this essay that people must come together and fight oligarchs who control politicians. Opinion polls show for the most part voters have very high satisfaction with their own Congressional representation. Same goes with voting records. For example, you claim that people won't vote for Pelosi when she got almost 90% of the vote in her district. Reich is basically saying that anybody who disagrees with him is stupid. Where have I heard that before, tty?

Most of the silent generation and about half of the boomer generation approve of Trump because Trump says what they want to hear and for the most part is doing what they want. They are racist misogynist fuck heads just like Trump is. That's why they voted for him, not because he'a s "puppet master". We might think that they are fools but they are for the most part average people. They have their own reasons and Reich is overlooking them when he makes his huge leap of faith about oligarchs and puppet masters.
Awesome! Obviously Rollie is in your corner because he deleted the comment you just replied to.

No bias here!

Make up any lies you want and your sychophants will back you.

You have no credibility. You're just an arrogant, pompous buffoon making pronouncements that don't hold up under even cursory scrutiny.

Tell us again how only MSDNC and CNN are credible news sources, LMAO

Only one candidate is clear about this. His campaign just put up a new page;

https://berniesanders.com/anti-endorsements/

No other candidate is this clear about who their enemies are and why.
Politicians go all negative when they are losing. Not that the people on that list aren't despicable and shouldn't be called out. It's just that Bernie's desperation is showing by going negative so early in the campaign cycle. Bernie needed to make a case of why people should decide to vote for him. He's not even trying to do that anymore.

Democrats support campaign finance reform. Their support is recorded by their votes to support reform in the Congressional record. If you want the policies you support to become law, vote for Democrats.

You're such an idiot. Trump started out negative and he obviously lost- all the way to the White House.

Meanwhile, Bernie's new web page simply quotes the billionaire's own words. That's not hate, that's accountability. I get that you might not recognize such a thing.
Dude,

it's a pretty negative message. Trump is an awful president. He didn't win a majority either. I'm not sure why you think Bernie is so great if he'd modeling his campaign off Trump.

But also too, look at what Reich said: everybody come together to fight oligarchs. OK, so, yeah, those people on Bernie's page are oligarchs. Do you think that page will motivate "everybody" to come together to fight them? Negative messages divide, not unite.

You live in fantasy land.

The comments of many put the lie to your churlish and hate filled words.

You are not a credible person.
Fine. Just don't expect things to get better- just acquire a nice coat of whitewash. If that's good enough for you, that's your call.

I expect more from our elected officials and I'll work to hold them accountable.

You make up more crap than Trump does.

LMAO you arrogant turd, calling Bob Reich, a man with more political experience than you can even imagine 'naive' and calling him out for 'mistakes'.

Then you demonstrate that you've completely missed the main thrust of his piece with your last sentence, as if just voting for one party instead of the other is going to solve anything.

The 'naive' one making 'common mistakes' isn't Secretary Reich; it's you, moron.
I can’t take anything you say seriously

He's got it wrong, tty. Look at the elections in 2018. People are voting for the representatives they want. Incumbents won by whopping large margins The people's voting record for the most part show they are satisfied with the representatives from their district. Under these circumstances, Reich's essay that claims "people need to come together to fight against oligarchs" is naive and absurd. He completely misses the real problem, which is this country is very divided right now. Democrats have the right formula to gradually erode Republican control of states and federal government. This is not a quick solution and will take time as the older generations cede power to millenials and the more diverse population that will be the majority in 2030.

Your weird ass conspiracy theories and fake claims about how Democrats are why Republicans fucked up this country is loony tunes.

Democrats support the policies you want implemented. Vote Democrats in and Republicans out.

Just look at the facts. I'm right and you are wrong. It is simple as that.

You arrogant turd. You have valid reasons to disagree with Saint Robert Reich.

LOL
Ty does that constantly. Anybody who agrees with him is beyond reproach. Anybody who doesn't is an arrogant turd.

I thought it was only Bernie babies that were this desperate and panicky until I saw that anti-endorsement thing on Bernie's website. His campaign staff is panicking too.

I don't blame them. Bernie is sinking.

One thing that everybody shouldve learned from the last election is that the grassroots (working class and below) on both the right and the left are angry and getting angrier. And they should be...

The sudden and explosive rise of Bernie, who was realitively unknown to most and ran on socialist ideals that appealed primarily to working class folk, vs Trump who ran on his celebrity, fear-mongering, hate and empty slogans that could only appeal to poor simpletons... together they demonstrated what we all know is true - the rich are getting richer by squeezing yet more out of the poor and there is little or nothing that anybody can do about it. Because no president will ever change the status quo. He or she will always be made to bend a knee to the people who actually do control the country - wall street.

The elite on both the right and the left shouldve been alarmed by how the last election played out, but they are clueless... they dont see how angry their minions are getting.

So how do the minions effect change?

Time to start throwing molotov cocktails, but not at each other. The grassroots left and right need to stop bickering against each other and realize they have a common foe, with the elite on the left and right who are squeezing every last cent out of poor peoples lint filled pockets.

The last time on earth there was the same level of disparity between rich and poor was around the time of the bolshevik revolution. But this time it is worse. Way worse...

Wake up people. Dont let the rhetoric of elite on either side make you fight against yourselves. That is just a distraction, while they continue to rob you blind...

Look around the world... see whats happening?

The arab spring was not about "democracy" or freedom. They were food riots. The tunisian guy who started it all burned himself alive because he couldnt afford to feed his family, even though he was "merchant class."

France... that was the working class rising up as they periodically do to show their disdain for shrinking wages and higher costs of living, but this time rioters numbered in the 10s of thousands and it went on for months.

And now Hong Kong. Dont be fooled by media spin... the extradition bill is only a small part of why MILLIONS of people are marching and rioting. Ask the Chinese people you know what the deal is there and they will tell it is about rising food and housing costs. Think about it... why would an extradition bill rile up millions of jills and joes, when it would never really affect them? What does affect and unite the millions there is food and housing prices... and they are the only things that would make anybody desperate enough to risk their lives by rioting.

It is happening everywhere around the world. Even in canada... but most of us are too stoned to get angry about it...

So, we should just destroy the US economy and start burning our cities? Wouldn't that just give Trump the excuse he wants to declare martial law?

Nah. You are effing nuts. Or work for Putin. Maybe both.

2020. We'll see what happens after we hold our election. The kind of revolution you counsel would see the death of tens of millions, mostly elderly and kids. I'd rather we work through this while keeping the constitution intact.

Go start a revolution in your own country and keep your advice for yourself.

Well that is a whole lot of weird and wrong assumption...

Just saying the top 1% can only squeeze until there is nothing left and then eventually enough people get desperate and civil unrest begins... and it spreads... which is exactly whats happening. Im not pushing for revolution, but it appears inevitable the way things are going.

That is almost too stupid to point out that instead of the junk sites you use, look at AP news, Rueters, things that tell you the things that happen without all the flamboyantly leading rhetoric like the disinformation sites that you guys tend to post.

What is happening is Saudi/Russian/Trump trolls have been working both sides of the issues online completely destroying the ability to have productive conversations without having to wade through mountains of disinformation. It gets old having people say how much worse everything is now...
