Self made retired. Quit work at 45 and traveled for a few years straight.... got bored. I restarted my business but with just myself as sole employee..... now I sell when i want to and to whom I want to. It's a pleasure to do business when the bottom line doesn't need to be in the black. On the contrary, I work hard to keep it in the red... I run it like the govt. does theirs... no wait...

Yes exactly..... Sometimes the balance can be found in the red. It depends on your tax exposures and types of investments.

For most ppl.........The best return IS.....................(drum roll)................... ZERO.
forreal, im happy if i dont have to pay. i can thank my daughter for that. between all my write-offs and being a only parent i usually come close to breaking even.

Ahh that makes sense.
My thinking was you were trying to get away with something such as a corporate business. having you're own business the gov't can take your personal assets and business assets if you go under... :dunce:
I jumped to conclusions :eyesmoke:

I am a corporation. A corporation of one. There are distinct advantages of having a business, if you know the ins and outs of legal subterfuge....

I guess that's why i'm going to school lol... to learn these "ins and outs". However, i'm sure you have to learn the good ones on your own

Yes, Life is going to be a bit tougher for you than it was for me. The opportunities are dwindling with the public sector drain on business.

Do urself a favor.... ur in school right? Make it a habit of dropping by the library and reading the wall street journal whenever you can. Don't worry if some it doesn't make sense at first. It will. By understanding how the business world (the true engine...not govt.) works, all sorts of things will fall into place. Your BS meter will become finely tuned. You will know upon quick examination if an idea is worthy (many are) and workable (many aren't).

Library.... wall street journal....free.....PS - chick magnet. The right kind of chick magnet.

what can i do to talk you out of a grow partnership?

ive tried this and ended up losing thousands of dollars and a friend in the process. someone will always feel like they deserve more because they do more work. contempt will arise, trust me. i ended up walking out on 4-1000w air-cooled rigs, 4-4x4 e&f trays with the fixings, and tons of little things.

we had agreed to move it all in pounds to keep traffic to a minimum then one day i find out hes been talking around the neighborhood about selling oz's! said we would make more money....but at what cost? now half the neighborhood knows weve got herb for sale. bad form, bigtime.
now there is someone out there that know i know how to grow and have the desire to do so. its a fucking liability for the rest of my life.

be patient and grow by yourself.

and dro blunts are gross....good way to ruin some tasty dro IMO.

hehe...i said, 'dro'

Seriously?
I've had partnerships before and it's gone smooth. It's not like I can even grow for myself right now because i'm not at my house and the place I'm at doesn't really approve of me smoking no less growing. :wall: We'd all agreed on 25%. It's probably not going to work though and if not, eh. I'll just wait till I get my own place and do however many grows I want and not worry about money issues anymore. Lol. And I've smoked many dro blunts because of some losers I used to hang out with who never smoked mids, and only smoked blunts of dro. And it was amazing bong dro, some was good bowl dro but I like mids in my blunt so I can have a couple to myself. I can't even smoke for a couple days so talking like this is making me sad. :-( I got my 4 wisdom teeth removed so I can't.

Yeah, going for finance. (was accounting  )

I appreciate the advice. Our business school has wall street laying around everywhere. I read it a few times just haven't made a habit out of it. Like you said... it makes no sense to me right now. Hopefully it will after this year.

Never thought of the wall street journal being a chick magnet... definitely going to have to try that :hump:.... i mean

make a small gravity bong. its not the smoke thats so bad but the suction when you smoke. use a gravity bong and you dont have to suck to get smoke.
