The Republican Machine...

Cop hating and racism share the same underlying logic. That is the observation he was trying to make.

I disagree.

Prejudice is usually derived from some underlying problem a person has with a group of people beyond factors that are only skin deep. Bigot I think is too strong a word, like racist, when describing individuals who are prejudice towards police officers. Especially if the person who is being prejudice is a minority in the United States. The fact of the matter is, minorities are treated with far more discrimination than us white folk. So minorities maintain a somewhat justifiable prejudice towards cops.

Bigots and racists usual derive their hate based on skin deep issues that really bare no factor in sociodemographic prejudices. To put it more plainly, Hitler hated Jews for dumb fuck reasons, just as Republicans hate Mexican and Black people for dumb fuck reasons. Well, not all Republicans, to be fair, I'd say roughly 5% of all Republicans are not bigots and morons. Let's say all Trump supports fall into that category of racists and bigots. Am I being racist? No. I'm being prejudice.

Yes. I understand. Prejudice is a more general term, one which encompasses several ugly "isms," including racism. Racism, like you say, is based on trivial, "skin-deep" issues. The unique individual is discarded all together and given some generic, stereotype-based set of attributes. So, it's like a "you've met one, then you've met them all" line of thought.

Forgive my use of the term "racism." Prejudice is a better word, but racism IS a specific form of prejudice.

Hostility and feelings of hatred are real, and it's not my place to tell minorities that their frustrations are unwarranted or their anger misplaced. In many cases, it certainly isn't. I only know that, no matter race, color, creed and unique life circumstances, hate will never solve our problems or make our lives better. It will only fester and cause greater misery.

But hey, I don't have all the answers. One man's perspective is limited.

prejudice is a more apt word for what I was trying to say.....ugly thing that it is

some people feel it's OK to be prejudice themselves but want to condemn others for the same behavior...
Yep. I usually check out when I see that's essentially the case. I understand the frustration and lack of trust, but the blind, indiscriminate hatred of all forms of law enforcement is irrational.

It's not blind hatred. It is based on their actions and inactions. There's even a thread about it. Check it out and tell us how much you love cops then

Actions and lack thereof that you've apparently decided all cops take. The terrible actions of a few officers are now the terrible actions of all who wear a badge, right? Is the irony not apparent?

Are you a cop? Did I hurt your pussy too?

You can offer zero evidence that most cops are good. I can offer plenty of evidence of even the "good" cops finally getting caught doing horrible shit.

What smells like sock puppet in here?

No enthusiasm in the Democrat Party. They had less voters than usual on Super Tuesday, with a huge increase for Republicans

My puss is quite alright, thanks. Is yours?

So much for rational discourse.
