Cop hating and racism share the same underlying logic. That is the observation he was trying to make.
I disagree.
Prejudice is usually derived from some underlying problem a person has with a group of people beyond factors that are only skin deep. Bigot I think is too strong a word, like racist, when describing individuals who are prejudice towards police officers. Especially if the person who is being prejudice is a minority in the United States. The fact of the matter is, minorities are treated with far more discrimination than us white folk. So minorities maintain a somewhat justifiable prejudice towards cops.
Bigots and racists usual derive their hate based on skin deep issues that really bare no factor in sociodemographic prejudices. To put it more plainly, Hitler hated Jews for dumb fuck reasons, just as Republicans hate Mexican and Black people for dumb fuck reasons. Well, not all Republicans, to be fair, I'd say roughly 5% of all Republicans are not bigots and morons. Let's say all Trump supports fall into that category of racists and bigots. Am I being racist? No. I'm being prejudice.
