A couple of questions for you about your version 1.2 plans. First, what is being measured in the bottom left drawing. There is a measurement all the way to the left, but it has no number measurement in it and I don't know what it is measuring. Also, when cutting the angle down on the res. end of the posts, it looks like you start the cut at about 2.5 inches down from the top and end it at 1 inch from the bottom at the end. Is that about right?
the missing measurement on the left
is the portion of the pipe going from the pump into the main manifold
i used a flexible pipe only for this portion, the pipe can be custom fitted with a pair of scissors (check images closely)
also considering a second pump as a backup
running either both at the same time
or as was suggested by LionsRoar,
each will go on every 10/1
not decided yet
as for the angle cutting on the post
you are correct, i go about 2 1/2" from the top
i just placed a 1/2" pipe tip at the end, then made the line to the top of it
the angle has no significance, the only thing you need to be sure is
to go down about 2 1/4 - 2 1/2", as this will allow the lid to properly lock in place,
(the lid can also be placed upside down for extra head room if needed,
i preferred to have the lid locked in place)
the end angle has no significance what so ever
you can go straight through or angle it any way you like
as long as you keep the required distance from the top you will be good to do
another thing i didn't place in the drawings;
the area to cut the holes in the box itself
this part needs to be done carefully
as there is no way of exactly measuring the holes placement
it will have to be a custom fittings
here's what i did,
after i made my cage; place the fence tubes in place
(
very important, use the support beams in place when measuring)
and place the end flush to the box,
from the inside of the post
mark your bottom and where the sides will align (don't worry about the rest now)
once you got your bottom line marked, take a small piece of tube
and mark the rest all the way to the top
from the outside
use a Dremel or similar, to cut off the box
remember you want to utilize as much highest as possible
you want to end up at exactly 1/8" from the top ledge,
(without lid on) that's your highest point
work your way carefully to custom fit the tubes in
its not as hard as it sounds once you actually go through the process
my pointers will make more sense to you
good luck with the build
