Now that's a lego set I'd love to play with! So, your going with eight flowering units in the DR300. Is that correct? Or is that for clone and veg also? Have you updated your floor layout schematics yet? I'd love to see the latest version of those.

Love the eye candy...
ill have 6 units in the DR300,
the other two are for work flow and future expansion

The pics are what keep me coming back man!....LOL.. Its just so pretty to see so much ready to go.

Great job man... shit you might want to start selling those "Aero Kits".... blow all these fuckers out of the water as far as prices!

Better hurry though cause i can smell someone doing that sooner than later on ebay ;-)
my setup comes out to be a bit more expensive then the original SB system
beside i don't care about fleabay, on the same note,
it sound like your a big fan

Sog, do you think those resivoirs could support a 20 hole unit? I was going to do 4 flower systems but I've been thinking of just making 3 larger units as it may be slightly easier. And if I have to rebuild, I might aswell take a step up in the design!:bigjoint:

i think it will be too much,
i'm running 12 plants per site i end up lil over an inch under the posts with18 gallon in the res
20 site = 40 misters, + a minimum of 20 gallons!
you can still do it using my design with no prob
use the big Stenley box i tested instead of the tough box
then add an inch or two to the 4 main posts to accommodate the extra height (depends on how high you fill your res)
you will also need to go up a click with the pump and use he 633GPH
the 396 will not support 40 misters, calc at the least 15GPH per mister
keep us posted if you decide to go this route

Hey SoG...what are the gray things in the background? I should probably know, but so far I have not been able to figure them out.

that's exactly what it is ;-)
I am sure you have thought of everything... but I have heard of nightmare stories involving floor coverings in grow rooms...

Water eventually finds it's way under the matts and doesn't evaporate... Plywood floors can easily rot this way....

Bare floors get wet and dry out... even wood...

Just a thought.... I'll shut up now....

Look who's talking..?!?!? Mr. Carpet Room...:dunce:

lol,
thanks for the tip bro!
I'm planning on having two layers of panda on the entire floor
with these under to cushion the bottom from ripping over time,
especially the tents(they go on top)!

For what it's worth - I've used that same flooring over Panda plastic many times without a hitch. It helps to keep the Panda from tearing and shifting under foot. With trays low on the floor, I LOVE the padding when kneeling around plants, etc. You're right though - water under your flooring is never good!

SOG. Pictures. Soon. I'm dying here. Hurry. :bigjoint:. I'm just hassling you my friend, but seriously, whenever you want to get around to getting up some more pictures, I'd be very appreciative :). No matter what the pictures are they seem to be interesting (never thought I'd stare at stacks of piping before ;)). Keep up the solid work, this thread is huge

Wait...

SOG, describe to me again how you are setting up the floor...

plywood then rubber than panda film?

If anything, I would do as Lions and have the rubber ON TOP of the plastic...

But even then...

Moisture can still get trapped under the rubber, inviting mold and millions of spores into your grow...

I am not sure what I think is best here, but I am starting to think that bare floor is the answer...

Any seam or joint will allow moisture through..

Even the panda film is not perfect, it has holes on it where it was folded... small ones, very tiny, but water is also very small...

The only real way I see, is to have something that is 100% seamless

Like on of these car mats, with an edge/damn all around it... but of course the size of your growspace...

That way, water can spill and evaporate, instead of getting trapped...

I am sorry to keep on this subject, but I am just trying to be the Devil's advocate here...

Yeah, but that still isn't exactly what I mean...

The spill mats I am thinking of is more like the car mats I posted above...

Basically a seamless rubber mat with a small ridge or a dike all around it...

and it can be 2x2 if that is how big your space is...

You get what I mean...

I think so ... Said mats above can be fitted together to make a mat of that size ... ? I'm stoned and having issues right now, haha. If that's the case then those would be nice, I'd like to look into those

Boy you must be smoking some righteous herb.... ;-)

Those are car mats... for your vehicle.... :eyesmoke:

But they are build in the same way as what is on my mind... seamless and with a ridge around them....

Anything that fits together, will have a seam... and seams may allow moisture to pass through and become trapped... inviting mold and rot...

The whole point I am trying to make is that a seamless rubber mat with a dike around it, would be the best in my opinion...

How about now?

Sorry SOG.. didn't mean to take your thread away like that...

On a different note... my 50 amp box is on back order but should ship next week...

The 10 gage extension cords seem to be holding for now...:bigjoint:

You guys should look into linoleum flooring works great a, I bought a roll 6x6 of of it for like 20 bucks at lowes, but you also can get them custom cut to your size, easy to clean, nice and white, waterproof, easy to install. There is carpet underneath this , and i spill water all the time never had it run through or anything. here is a pic of it before I cleaned it (you can also see my guard lizard, he lives in there and takes care of bugs for me...............................and you can cut the stuff with regular old scissors
