Nothing wrong with HP. Id leave it alone.
Ya I have some in solo cups right now, I added even more perlite and it still retains a lot of moisture IMO so be careful not to overwater. I’m gonna mix in compost when I make my veg mix so we’ll see how that goesZiggy,
Did you end up using Pro Mix Moisture?
I have some, and I think it looks like a good medium. (but I am a complete noob)
How did it go for you? (sorry for the old thread post )
Pro-mix HP ingredients. the only difference is no coir. Promix moisture has less than 10% coir if I recall correctly
- SPHAGNUM PEAT MOSS (65-75%)
- PERLITE
- LIMESTONE
- WETTING AGENT
- MYCORRHIZAE - PTB297 TECHNOLOGY
I can tell you first hand I used the exact same soil just finished trimming today I used 3 5 gallon buckets I added a couple cups of bone meal some bat guano and Earth worm castings then all I did was water them until flower then I went with ff Tiger bloom never a problem the entire grow just weighed in at 23 ouncesHey guys I just bought this pro mix pack
PRO-MIX Moisture Potting Mix
Ready-to-use compressed 2 cu. ft. potting soil is perfect for all indoor and outdoor container planting, re-potting or seed starting.www.promixgardening.com
I wanted to know if this will work well for my grows.
Im currently in the middle of the grow and will be transplanting from 2 to 5 gallon soon.
Is this good enough on its own or should I mix it with some more of my other soil?(Kellog's Organic Potting mix, cheap home depot soil)
Is there anything bad about it?
- Sphagnum peat moss (80-90% by volume)
- Coir
- Perlite
- Ground Limestone (for pH adjustment)
- Wetting agent
- Mycorrhizae
As for water just spring water no ph needed used my meter once lolI can tell you first hand I used the exact same soil just finished trimming today I used 3 5 gallon buckets I added a couple cups of bone meal some bat guano and Earth worm castings then all I did was water them until flower then I went with ff Tiger bloom never a problem the entire grow just weighed in at 23 ounces
Life Saver bro tyIt will work just fine. I wouldn't mix anything in with it. This Promix is soil-less, so you have to treat pH differently than soil, so I especially wouldn't mix soil in with it.
That Promix also has nutrients built-in, so don't feed the plants after transplant until they tell you they need it (likely a couple to three weeks).
With peat based products such as this one, pH your water and water/nutrient mix to 6.0 before watering.
