I have read up on em but aint grown em yet. from what I seen people say autos are best wiv a 20/4 but does seem strange that the breader said 24/7? all plants need down time its when the main nutrent transportation cycle happens inside the plant and they move elements where they need em. they spent millilions of years adapting to having a dark cycle and it seems shame to rob em of it, lol
Essex you are completely right. it has been about 5 months since i ordered those and i when jebus said 24/7 i thought that sounded right. but then you said 20/4 and thought that sounded right. so i checked the attitude webpage for the first time in months and here is what it said. This is an f1 cross between a Lowryder #2 and an automatic AK47 in which the two parents strongly exhibit their best genetic traits: high resin production, the fruity aroma (of a carefully selected Lowryder #2 phenotype), and the size and branching of the AK47 automatic.
This poly-hybrid is fully auto-flowering and matures in 70-75 days from germination, reaching optimal size if given enough light (intensity and time). The best conditions are 20 hours of light and 4 of dark during the entire cycle. Outdoors the best time is may-august, but it's easy to do multiple cycles per season, until November.

well that solves the light question. i did use the 24/0 method at first with this plant and i didn't like the results. but like you said essex the 20/4 gives them a dark period. also gives em a couple extra hours of light. so 20/4 it will be with the ak's. i am going to keep a good record of this grow from beginning to end. i thought it would be a really small plant. but i just checked out another guys complete grow with the ak47 and they had massive buds on them. took him ten weeks from seed to finish. if this works out then i am not longer messin with strains like i got now. of course alot of the reason it has been taking so long is do to my early screwups.

I've seen pics of that strain (not sure if it's the same seed bank) in magazines. It is a monster. They had 4ft tall plants that were a giant cola with 2-4 side branches, and had giants yields. I think the next time I order seeds it will be a auto-flowering strain. Just seems like a good idea when you get so much so quickly.

i got mine from the attitude seed bank. i am goin to add a link to that guys page in a minute and you can see for yourself. i figure that since i won't be able to clone these i am goin to go ahead and order some more seeds to try out. one of the things that make these autoflower seeds so attractive to me is the fact that there is no different light schedual from veg to flower. and for a guy like me with limited space thats awesome. so i would be able to veg and flower under the same light. take a look at this strain and tell me what you think. sweet-seeds-speed-devil-feminized. this one can be grown under 24/0 light. and is suppose to be completed from seed to harvest in 60 days. not the prettiest but damn thats fast. also here is a pic of the ak47 from the seedbank

yesterday i pulled the plant out so i could clean the box up and rearrange the lights. the top was within 9 inches of the 150hps. so i jacked the light all the way up. now i got 18 inches.. i also rearranged the ufo light to where it shinned toward the back of the box and not the front. now it covers more of the plant where i got it. since i had the plant out i looked it over pretty good and noticed something was majorly different. several of the stems went from green to a redish color and some of the lower leaves where droopy lookin. its like the leaves had lost stiffness to em. im thinking it was nutrient deficiency. the ph was between 5.5-6. so that wasn't the prob. it had been a week since i last changed it, so it was time to do it anyways. i just find it hard to believe that it used all of it up that fast. hmmmmmm. anyways. got it changed out. put the plant back in, and rehooked my twist ties and adjusted the flowers. anxious to see if it helped it when the lights come on. on another note two of the three ak-47 x Lowrider #2 seeds had a tiny little sprout on em. so thats promising. i already put em in rockwool cubes, put em in a rubbermaid container, and its sitting ontop of the hometheater receiver. it keeps it about 78-80 degrees. i probably wont post any pics of it till it pops up. everyone knows what a sprouted seed looks like.

I have issues with a Sativa strain that I have when she gets above the 6 mark. From what I have researched, the 5.3-5.7 is the sweet spot for hydro, though I try to keep right around 5.6 myself. It can be annoying, but my setup has risen over 10% in one day so check it on athe daily! Best of luck!

I guess i will just have to break down and get one of those digital ph meters. i have been using the drop testers.

went to the hydro store today and got a PH meter. Those are soooooo much better. i should have made that investment at the beginning. i thought i was at 5.5-6. i was acutally at 6.4 i also explained my problem to the owner of the store. after explaining everything he said it sounded like a calcium, mag deficiency. he said with rain water or reverse osmosis water it is easy to do. so he gave me the bottle in the picture to try out. hope it works. I think the flowers are lookin alot better since the pictures i took a few days ago. speakin of reverse osmosis. i found a Kenmore Reverse Osmosis Electronically Monitored drinkin water system at a garage sale today. it was brand new in the box with the original price tag of $449 for only $25. if it wasn't for this site i wouldn't have even known what a reverse osmosis system was. hell of a deal. they bought it right after they moved and never got around to installing it.

She is looking awesome Brandon. Bud development appears to have gotten a boost and I could see the trichomes all over the fan leaves. Has her smell changed any? Has it gotten more pungent?
