If I was Caitlin Collins, I would have stopped it as soon as trump started his bullshit. I would have stood up, looked directly into the camera and said “I’m done. This is a disgrace and I’m not going to be an accomplice to it any further. I quit.” Then I would have dropped the mic, walked off the stage and left it as another trump rally, which it pretty much was anyway. How long do you think it would have taken her to get another job? Think maybe MSNBC would find a spot for her?

The moron who runs CNN couldn't figure out there is no middle ground between good and evil and no compromise liberal democracy can have with fascism. People are avoiding CNN because they compromised their integrity for money, and it was disgustingly obvious to everybody. They were chasing after the white trash views again after Trump cured them of it for a spell. Nobody will go back until they have a CEO with some patriotism, integrity and a moral compass. Foxnews broadcasts the truth for once, and they lose viewers, CNN broadcasts Trump's repulsive bullshit and the big lie and they lose viewers. You can't please everybody, so to thy own self be true, provided you have any values to be true to. If you don't stand for anything, you will fall for everything, even the tired old lies of a grifter and traitor. American patriots walked away from CNN, so I guess it's a race to the bottom of Trump's base and competition with foxnews and OAN for white trash who can't handle truth.

Maybe it's not about profit really, but keeping the government divided and gridlocked so the super-rich who own and control these mega corporations don't have to pay their fair share of taxes?

Most don't need a reason, any excuse will do, no matter how absurd. It's like gun nuts who don't give a fuck about the leading cause of death among kids being guns but are concerned to no end about the "unborn". The same ones who worship the "undead" Zombie Jesus and morally dead Cheeto Jesus are a living contradiction. If they are gonna be racists and bigots at least they should have the courage of their convictions and shouldn't add mealy mouthed liar to their list of their vices. It’s the persistence of the dishonest, divisive narrative that surprises me, and the apparent absence of a way to shut the bullshit down hard in a timely manner.

The phenomenon supports my belief that agent orange was not the cause of the GOP’s evil ways, but an effect. I wonder what it will take to figuratively bring the ringleaders of big lie politics to Jesus.

How far is he gonna follow Donald down the rat hole, at what indictment and at what conviction does he just give up on carrying Donald's ocean of water? Jack will probably indict Donald in June according to legal pundits, but I think he will delay indicting the MAL docs and obstruction cases as long as he can and find new leads to investigate. The MAL cases once charged will take Donald down too quickly IMHO and based on the evidence, prima facie cases, nature of the charges and possible defenses. I can't see the judge setting aside much time to prepare a defense or to try the case. Trump has had notice of this pending indictment for months already and his lawyers have been in court over it for many months.

The top-secret documents case is like finding a ton of blow in bails under his bed and Donald caught snorting a sample when the cops came in! It's one of those kinds of cases, and judges don't usually set much trial time aside for that. Both the documents and the obstruction of justice cases are slam dunks with a ton of witnesses, evidence and no defense. Depending on the federal DC judge he draws, Donald might be lucky to walk out of court after he pleads to the top-secret document's indictments. Remember, these judges' jail and imprison regular people for lessor national security crimes all the time, include that recently caught Texeira kid. Donald could have shown those documents to someone and that would put him in the same boat as the kid who was arrested by a swat team and is still jailed.

Note his orange jumpsuit when he appeared, this is the standard the judge will use with Trump when he is indicted, the kid was at the bottom of the military command structure and Trump was at the apex and the sentence should be much harsher for him over the documents alone. If Donald is indicted over the MAL cases in June, that might be the end of him once a federal judge gets the case and owns Donald's ass.

Will Gym subpoena the federal judge who locks up Trump pending trial? He is stupid, ignorant and desperate enough for anything and don't put absurdity off the table!

Do they honestly, really believe that both Biden's are criminal masterminds, capable of international plotting and maneuvering, and of being able to cover it up so completely that the republicans cannot find a single shred of proof? While the rest of the universe sees them accusing every office and agency that doesn't bend to their will or which seems to offer any kind of threat to their agenda of being "politicized" and "weaponized" in an effort to remove any obstacles to returning the country to 1948, do they see themselves as heroes, who are returning the country to 1948...when white men and their submissive brood mares, and their repulsive, spoiled, entitled little spawn could shit all over any minority they chose to without repercussion?
That whole mind set seems like a clear indicator of mental illness to me, and anyone suffering from it shouldn't be considered qualified for a position of authority.

2) They are coldly committed to keeping relentlessly at it, since it is an apparently effective path to their intended endpoint: the takeover and replacement of the republic.

And I fully agree. The 45th president is not a cause of Republican intransigence. He is the next step in Republican procession to full expression.

Every day I think of Voltaire. His famous saying about atrocities comes up in these threads regularly. I point to him anytime anyone says that anything a religion does is innocuous. Even charity comes with a prayer in heart and a book in hand.

CNN does it again. While they report facts, they give weight to known liars. Trump, for example. But also buried in an article about Jordan’s FBI whistleblowers are statements provided as fact from completely unreliable source.

The article itself isn't bad. Jordan heads the House Judiciary Committee, which held hearing into an investigation by the committee into allegations of discrimination and bias within the FBI. The article covers the committee's discussion today about the legitimacy of three whistleblowers who are not whistleblowers and how Jordan is using the unofficial status of those "whistleblowers" to justify keeping Democrats on the Judiciary Committee in the dark regarding their testimony.
