Buck and I
A typical sock's view
“Grant stood by me when I was crazy, and I stood by him when he was drunk, and now we stand by each other.”
― William T. Sherman
Grant was a drunk, but a talented and determined one.
Big hearts and brains might get PTSD too, all those young lives in his hands, his boys did call him,"Uncle Billy", sounds like they liked Sherman too.
The treasonous south, not so much, especially if his boys, burned yer farm, confiscated yer crops and live stock for damages to America. They should have gave their farms to black folks, and run them off to to south America, to found a whites only utopia. Still a shitty idea, spouted by losers. No country founded by greed, hate and fear driven losers could succeed, a Donald would run the place pretty quick and they would all starve to death, by their own hand too.
Another hard lesson is required, in the law this time, not on the field of battle, social battle is what this war is all about, the losers go violent, we've seen plenty of examples already on the right, hardly any on the left. The difference in ratio is reveling to the wise, or those with common sense.
The enemy is in disarray, now is the time to strike, hit him while he is weak and confused, finish the fucker off!

More quotes for the teaching page. Any body wanna argue with an expert, anyone from Georgia here, South Carolina, does yer arse hole still burn? Why?
You were wrong, admit it and move on. The daughters of the confederacy were worse than the klan, liars to their children and abusers of them too.
Wisdom from a master, learn it again, remedial education for those made stupid by hate.
“You cannot qualify war in harsher terms than I will. War is cruelty, and you cannot refine it; and those who brought war into our country deserve all the curses and maledictions a people can pour out. I know I had no hand in making this war, and I know I will make more sacrifices to-day than any of you to secure peace.”
― William T. Sherman,
Memoirs of General W.T. Sherman
War is HELL, wisdom from a wise man of his times and a guide for the present.

“You people of the South don't know what you are doing. This country will be drenched in blood, and God only knows how it will end.”
― William Tecumseh Sherman
“In treading upon the ashes of dead men in Italy, Egypt - on the banks of the Bosphorus, one almost despairs to think how idle are the dreams and toils of this life, and were it not for the intellectual pleasure of knowing and learning, one would almost be damaged by travel in these historic lands.”
― William T. Sherman
“Vox populi, vox Humbug.”
― William T. Sherman
“You might as well appeal against the thunder-storm as against these terrible hardships of war. They are inevitable, and the only way the people of Atlanta can hope once more to live in peace and quiet at home, is to stop the war, which can only be done by admitting that it began in error and is perpetuated in pride.”
― William Tecumseh Sherman, Memoirs of General W.T. Sherman
“I hereby state, and mean all that I say, that I never have been and never will be a candidate for President; that if nominated by either party, I should peremptorily decline; and even if unanimously elected I should decline to serve.”
― William Tecumseh Sherman
“I have for some days held and controlled every avenue by which the people and garrison of Savannah can be supplied, and I am therefore justified in demanding the surrender of the city…I am prepared to grant liberal terms to the inhabitants and garrison; but should I be forced to resort to assault, or the slower and surer process of starvation, I shall then feel justified in resorting to the harshest measures, and shall make little effort to restrain my army—burning to avenge the national wrong which they attach to Savannah and other large cities which have been so prominent in dragging our country into civil war.”
― William T. Sherman,
Memoirs of General W.T. Sherman
“This officer forced his way through the crowd to the carriage, and said: “Mr. President, I have a cause of grievance. This morning I went to speak to Colonel Sherman, and he threatened to shoot me.” Mr. Lincoln, who was still standing, said, “Threatened to shoot you?” “Yes, sir, he threatened to shoot me.” Mr. Lincoln looked at him, then at me, and stooping his tall, spare form toward the officer, said to him in a loud stage-whisper, easily heard for some yards around: “Well, if I were you, and he threatened to shoot, I would not trust him, for I believe he would do it.” The officer turned about and disappeared, and the men laughed at him.”

“Then, as now, neatness in dress and form, with a strict conformity to the rules, were the qualifications required for office, and I suppose I was found not to excel in any of these.”
― William T. Sherman,
Memoirs of Gen. William T. Sherman - Volume 1
“I think I know what military fame is; to be killed on the field of battle and have your name misspelled in the newspapers.”
― William T. Sherman
Anybody wanna argue with Master Sherman?
