Brownouts often coincide with surges right before or after, so yeah a surge protector can help protect your stuff. Mean Well HLG drivers have automatic input voltage compensation so a mild brownout will generally not affect them. They will keep right on chugging as long as the voltage stays above 90 volts or so, below that I think they just shut down.Do surge protectors work for brown outs?....... that wouldn't make sense, probably thinking about expensive voltage regulator?"
