I think I broke the pots on my Meanwell driver.
I think I turned then both a bit to far with too big of a screwdriver, and now when I change the settings, they don't seem to be on a linear curve anymore and jump all around randomly when I touch them.
Anyone else have this problem?

Hey yall. started a plant with some fakes and ended up putting it outside. now its just starting to flower, dont think i have the 10+ weeks of warm weather left.
is she dickered or can i bring it back inside with 1200 watts of mixed quantums and fakes? plants like 6 feet around, the smaller plant already got stolen not even flowering yet.

oops replied to a post. lol. hey mate - or did i?

Id use just real qbs, but i dont think i have 1200w worth

Well bringing it in is a mixed bag. Yes, you can finish it that way. but bringing a plant in that has spent much time outdoors leads to the possibility of bringing in pests, like spidermites. they can be on outdoor plants but unnoticed because they are so small, and wind and rain prevents them from taking hold most of the time, I've not seen an outdoor plant with a real mite infection. BUT, once you bring them in........ good luck getting rid of them little terrorists!

And you don't need 1200 watts of light to grow a plant! 400-600 watts of QB will pound out twice the bud of them burple lights.

Since I lurk this thread , I thought I would pass on some LOCAL info ...
The ratio of helpful guys and gals seem to be here ( and a couple other threads ) minus the knuckleheads , I wanted to share .

Love the HOODED builds ... more repurposed gear is a good thing !

Pollen : Male ( Black Afghani x Blueberry)
( thanks @ttystikk for talking me out of killing the male ... lol )

So did the usual 150 mesh sac rub ( lol ) thru screen and Qtip the branches.
Misted her down after the “ knock up “ ...
Still early flower and will just cut the uppers for smoke and let the lower 3 branches cough up the beans ....

Host plant is under the 4 panel QB ( 3500 ) / COB at about 360 dimmed.
Gave her a top dress today and watered in ...
Danky odor for a young girl ! ....

Pollen stored in fridge with my beer.

Thanks pop. Pretty sure I'm going to.give it a go, if it isn't taken when I get to it. 36 square feet at 30w per is 1080 watts. I've got most of that in qbs but not all. Have cobs if I need them. Figure my 5 288s 2 324s 4 120s and 12 fake 304s will cover it. 900 watt proper qbs and 300ish between 8-12 fakes. Will be open space if I follow through. Will see about posting the progress

What are you guys using for timers to shut off your QBs. I've noticed a lot say not for use with digital ballasts. Is that what a meanwell is?

Also will need a potentiometer for a hlg480-c2100 running 4* qb 288 v2's. Where can I get one of those online?

Any 100k linear POT can be used ... fry’s electronics , electronic part store , amazon , etc.

I use regular light timers. .... works fine with the Meanwell.
But use a surge protected strip ... brownouts happen during summer .

Ok anda going to be wiring up my QBs

4* 288 v2's to a hlg480-2100c.

I planned on running them in series but should I link 1-2-3-4 or 1-2 and another loop 3-4 then back to ground?

There guide is a little confusing.

Do surge protectors work for brown outs?....... that wouldn't make sense, probably thinking about expensive voltage regulator?" Line conditioner"? Idk, paging @nfhiggs for some clarification

Lost a fridge(compressor) due to this brownout shit over the winter.....was pissed
