Byron Smith execution of burglars

My late grandfather fought in WW2, Korea, and Vietnam. All he ever did was read war books and watch war movies, like a zombie. I also talked to Henry Rhodes who worked on the Manhattan Project. He said that was the worst mistake of his life. He and the rest of the scientists thought there would just be a demonstration with the bomb in the middle of the Pacific ocean while everyone watched. And was shocked, along with the rest of the scientists when Truman said no. "Those Japs want to see a real bomb? I'll show them what a real fucking bomb will do!" Most of the time war isn't about the objective, but attrition. Which is why war never ends. Had the scientists known we'd actually use it, not one would've participated.
Oh you spoke to one of the scientists involved in the Manhattan project, did you?

More bullshit.

I remember when Bucky was asking me about how to setup a trap in his backyard so the teen rippers wouldn't steal his precious plants. Talk of firearms, bladed weapons and punji stakes were all possibilities being entertained at one time. Right wing nut?
I remember those posts, let's face it, Uncle Buckyroo is a closet right-wing conservative. We all know it's true.

Just seems an awful thing to say. The guy was obviously off his rocker but bnb should know better. He seems to prefer wilful ignorance.

Now that you're here, I'm dying to hear your take on Paisley. Love to hear your thoughts.
As in Ian Paisley?

As Iv said before, the Northern Ireland conflict really doesn't concern me, different time, different place

At least Paisley recanted and stopped being a dick, unlike Adams.

Those two nuclear bombs are the best thing that ever happened to Japan.

Us and the Soviets were going to invade.

The bombs claimed a few hundred thousand lives, much less than an invasion.

More importantly, no American casualties.

I knew he went to a community college and went on the campus to talk to him. He also told me a story about how he helped Livingston develop the cyclotron.

OCC’S "OLDEST STUDENT," HENRY RHODES, DIES AT 86

Henry Rhodes said:
Rhodes was on OCC's campus several days a week. When not in class – and particularly during the noon-hour – he could routinely be found in the Student Center, sitting at a table populated by as many as a dozen students and faculty members. Always the center of attention, he was usually discussing a scientific matter or telling one of a multitude of stories pulled from his rich reserve of personal experiences.

He also spent time holding court in the college's Administration Building lounge.

In addition to being an Orange Coast College student, Rhodes also occasionally lectured to OCC classes.

Rhodes' curriculum vitae read like a John Grisham thriller. He worked with the legendary Ernest O. Lawrence, and equally legendary J. Robert Oppenheimer, for nearly five years on the Manhattan Project – which produced the world's first atomic bomb

That'd be a criminal offence, laddy.
You mean like sawing off the barrel and stock so that a 5 shot rig is just under 20" total length? THAT would be criminal, turning a Remington 870, 1100 or 1187 into a 8 shot rig of 00 Buck destruction is perfectly legal. You can even hunt some stuff with them.

Ducks and Geese and upland game require a 3 shell limit, one in the chamber and 2 in the magazine. But you can hunt dove with a 8 shot if you really wanted to, or snipe, or rabbit or....

I say that's the proper use of a six-shooter. Time to reload.
The rifle jammed after he shot the girl the first time, that is why he says "Sorry". He sees her suffering and ends it simply with 5 shots from the pistol. Why 5 shots? Because its a fucking little .22 that unless you get someone through the eye or miraculously get them in the heart, its going to take a while to die. I know of a guy that was shot 10 times in the skull by a .22 from point blank and not a one penetrated.

The Pistol was a Single Action Ruger, which means you would only have 5 shots in it. Although it is capable of 6, if you drop the weapon there is the possibility it can go off due to the nature of the single action design, so you leave the hammer down on a empty chamber, which means you only get 5 shots.

Anyone that loads a Single Action Revolver (They usually do not have safeties) with all 6 rounds and then carries the firearm that way is asking for a terrible tragedy.

Now when you watch old Clint Eastwood Spaghetti westerns you will understand why there are only 5 shots made, and when the revolvers go off in newer movies ( like Gunfight at the OK Corral) they all have 6 shots, because the days of people actually using SAA Revolvers died in the 60's so everyone assumes that you would have 6 shots. Lots of people accidentally shot themselves that way after Samuel Colt came out with the peacemaker.

If it were war he would be commended for superior tactics and probably get a big fat medal.

Know how many times Byron Smith called Police to report a Robbery or suspicious behavior outside his home? Before this all happened?

I once had my home broken into and a bunch of my things were stolen, it doesn't fell one bit good and does a lot of damage.

Know what the police can do? Not a fuck all thing, they don't even care.

Dude, here the total shell limit is 3.

Minimum barrel length is 27" too, makes it awkward, but still easy to get around the house...I mean field with...

EDIT: Ireland dude, Ireland...

I know you are in Ireland, I know that, you don't have to point it out. In the USA we have magazine limits too, but just for hunting sake. Get it?

I was just curious. I gathered from your posts you live in the Republic. I've always found people closer to an event see it differently. I find that type of thing interesting. didn't mean to pry.

Well the difference is that here we need a reason for wanting the firearm, one of which CANNOT be home defense.

Clay Pigeon, Varmint hunting and shooting game birds are pretty much the only accepted reason for a shotgun license here...slugs are illegal too, so can't even hunt deer with a shotgun due to animal welfare bullshit.

Anyways, my point, the total shell limit here is 2+1, so putting an 8 round mag tube on it...the cops would have a literal SHIT-FIT when I present it for inspection upon license renewal/their request.

How much is the mod though, purely for curiosity?

From the link that Cheebs provided, any one of the shots would have proven fatal on its own. If that's the case, in the immortal words of our next President "What difference at this point does it make", in relation to the subsequent shots?

Did those final shots make them MORE dead?

Miracle Max: It just so happens that your friend here is only mostly dead. There's a big difference between mostly dead and all dead. Mostly dead is slightly alive. With all dead, well, with all dead there's usually only one thing you can do.
Inigo Montoya: What's that?
Miracle Max: Go through his clothes and look for loose change.
