There's multiple Gunshows just about every weekend somewhere in the State.. people are def stock piling high capacity mags. Prob sold out by now.

Out of the many guns I have, yes the shotguns are probably the best ones for home defence. Just jacking a shell would typically make most poop their pants. I have one Remington 870 3” mag without a plug that never leaves the house as it’s illegal for hunting with more the 3 here.

Shotguns are the best for home defense for sure. I got an AR12 Panzer. 10+1 mag. Looks scary as shit!

Millions of kids play video games, yet very few of them shoot anything. Most school shooters have faced extreme social isolation at school. Many are bullied. There was a school shooter who lived. Years later when he was talking to a reporter he said that if any one person had said to him, "you are alright," he would have walked away. He said that even when he was shooting, he didn't want to do it. But he felt the whole world was against him. With the pandemic the percent of kids who feel extreme isolation has almost doubled in the last three years. The worst is yet to come.

Kids all over the world play video games, yet only in America is the problem of mass murder epidemic, because of the number and availability of guns. The mental health problems are related to technology, social media and not enough real world social contact, not so much violent games. We also have plenty of American movies and TV shows, we share a living room in that respect and similar demographics, but Canada has a small fraction of the gun murders per capita. We regulate guns and control who can own one and what kind, so do most other free countries, who also have few gun deaths.

So... what's the answer?.... and you can't say "Take all the guns away"... because that's never going to happen. So, what do we do?
Trillions of guns exist too.. but very few of them go on a shooting spree. The percentage has got to be astronomically low.

Ummm, assault *is* offensive action against another, redundance doesn’t add anything - so, no, not critical (and, like I said, *battery* applies to contact). Never read a case in which a person charged with assault & battery was described as only making ‘defensive contact’, maybe not much need to lean into it real hard

A down under type buy back would be a good start. I would sell three quarters of my guns if the price was right.

So, you'd still have a 1/4 of your guns... that's not really helping anything if you sell YOUR guns is it? I mean, are your guns going to kill anybody that you're aware of?.... No?, ...then why sell them? (hypothetically)

So the percentage is astronomically low but if you have trillions, well mass shootings (over three) seem to be going on every week. And more people buying guns as they do not feel safe with all the guns out there.
