I am not here for anything political. I am just here to point out what reality is to those who apparently live in fantasy land.

I did insult Ms. Lightfoot. That could be considered political, for that I apologize.

Sweet, so, an imminent threat of violence does indeed allude to offensive physical contact.

You kind of took the long way to the destination but I'm glad we arrived there.
Gee, thanks, Boss - your condescension is the *best*!

”Allude” is not your best word choice (new add to the vocabulary?)…try “prelude” - as in, “threats of violence must be taken as prelude to violent physical contact; that is, as legitimate threats”

As I said, education is a start. Your's should begin with Grammer. I will not bother to read that drivel you spewed as you can't be taken seriously writing like a child.
"I do not like what you are saying so I am going to stick my fingers in my ears and stick out my tongue."

What we need is education. We need to get kids off the streets, we need to fix poverty, we need to pay attention to our kids, know where they are, what they are posting on social media. We need to get assholes like the mayor of Chicago out of office and elect rational people. We need to not ignore the signs of disturbed youth like what happened at the parade, lots of warning signs there. So many things to do but so few who even care to do them. People have become so lazy and self entitled and society is paying for it.
And how are you going to force people to become model citizens?

Thanks. You're right, prelude is a better choice. Don't forget to include "offensive", it's pretty critical in all the cases.

I was not reading it because I don't like it, I wasn't reading it because it hurt my eyes lol. I powered through and responded.

I don't want to force anybody to do anything. When conditions improve so does morale. We need to improve the conditions for EVERYONE in need, in this country. The fact we have homeless people or hungry people in the USA is ridiculous. Especially when you think about the money we spend policing the world. Let's invest in OUR people!

I am a farmer and supply local churches and shelters with free produce. It isn't going to change the world but it's what I can do.

I personally think that this whole problem started with kids sitting in front of “first person” shooter video games for hours every day. The graphics are so realistic these days that thier brains see it as “normal”. As a kid, we had Pong, Pac-Man, etc, carried rifles to school in the back window of our trucks, and nobody thought anything about it. Also, the instant access to world information via the internet hasn’t helped either.

If you're speaking to me, you should learn how to spell Grammar....if you aren't speaking to me, you should still learn how to spell grammar....

the gun industry started a campaign to make guns sexy, and to make people feel insecure without one...
movies help add to the effect, as do games and just general desensitization...
and a lot of people should not be allowed unlimited access to the internet, they don't have the mental facilities to deal with that much information...some of them shouldn't be allowed to watch toxnews either...

Yeah.. but, the Genie is kinda already out of the bottle. Gonna be hard to reverse what's already happened. It won't happen in our lifetime im sure. Hell, it might get worse. 1980 seems like yesterday to me when things were a lot more simple. I can't imagine at this pace what the world will look like in another 40 years.

Which is great, so you are part of the solution. Nice to heare that rather that you do not want to read something unless it is in proper English. Still have a problem with how do you get money to help people (almost sounds like a Democrat pie-in-the-sky-project)? Yes money is spent out of country, currently spent against the Russians but that is a down payment for the future (and Republicans have a great history of spending on arms). So there is a problem raising some children. What is to be done?

If they started 100 years ago we might be in a better place today. Maybe start now so in 100 years life would be less gun crazy?

IDK man.. I just don't think it will ever happen. There's just too many of them out there in the US. Private sales happen every day. I just sold my dads Ruger American 9mm last night. This 80ish old looking man drove 45 min in the rain to come pick it up. 17+1 mags, and he paid more than what my dad bought it for. It was just too large and bulky to carry, so he's now picking up a Sig P365 sub compact 9mm. But no paperwork was exchanged, no buyers order, transfer, etc. Just cash and a handshake.

... and it's perfectly legal to advertise a gun for sale in the newspaper... much harder online. Most all the newspapers have a "Handguns and Rifles" section in the averts.

again, you have no fucking need for military equipment...no one has need of it except the fucking military...that is the actual problem, fucking fat civilian fucks having the same equipment trained professional soldiers have, with absolutely not one fucking reason in the world to have any of it. civilians should have single shot weapons. period. and not one fucking handgun, anywhere, ever. no fucking reason, you aint in the army, and you aint a cop. if no one had handguns but the authorities it would make it a lot easier to pick out the fucking criminals carrying....
Cops are civilians. There should be no handgun exemption for any civilian.
