All CFL Grow - Stealth

Ruh-roh......you shoulda put the fans.....exhaust at the top, vent at the bottom......the way you have it now...in one fan,out the other...their to close to each other.....imo......make those 2 exhaust fans and install another fan at the bottom, for cool air.GL
I explained a bit earlier in the thread that the cab is getting split in two. So it will make more sense later. The vent holes were made before this decision was made hence the space between them. I need an in and a out at the top and the same at the bottom. What you are saying is right about the space between them but alas as I explained it is an evolving thing. Stayed tuned and it will all make sense in the end when the full plan come together...... 2 more fans on order for the bottom of the cab, the shelf has been made and ready to go but only to be installed when I have my fans for the bottom and when I am ready to flower. No sense making the space smaller before it is necessary. :-)

got the following today for making clones...... 1 x scalpel, 1 x clonex rooting gel, 1 mini greenhouse dome, jiffy cubes. Plus I already have a heat pad. Can't wait to start cloning, the shoots on my plant are nearly big enough. Now some will say "you need to sex the plant first" I don't. :-) I take the cuttings and then flower the plant. If it is female the cuttings stay, if the plant is male I chuck the cuttings. Most people don't understand this but if you think about it.... why can't it be done like this. Done this before and it is a good solution if you are growing in a small space and on a small scale. + this is the biggest + I am almost 100% this plant IS female as there are loads of pre-flowers on her and I know what female flowers look like. So watch this space as I will be posting the result.... :-)

P1090344.jpg Loads of shoots growing fast. Also seem to have the feeding nailed down. She is not showing any signs of stress. Removed some of the bigger fan leaves to assist ventilation and light to get to the lower branches. Normally I would not do this but in this smaller space with all CFL's I felt it was needed to maximise my shoot growth lower down in order to have lot's of options for clones and new growth.

dont be scared to get the cfls super close, mine are maybe an inch away. i've always heard, double your wattage when u go to flower, for best results.
i've always used 6500k for veg and 2700k for flower. i keep adding in more lights weekly until im about 6-7 weeks in.

and yes trim your small nug spots to help the bigger nugs. cuz once it drys, them small nugs will be nothing ;/

Thanks for your kind comments. You are right I am a bit scared to get those CFL's super close and I have had them closer but I am scared I may damage the main growth node at the top so I tend to believe in take less of a risk especially since I do not have access to clones. These plants are all I have and growing from seed takes ages, so I being slightly careful. But yes I agree the closer the light the better. I have the same approach to nutes, I try to rather under feed than over feed etc. :-)

f2a.jpghard to get the pic i want but, the best i could get atm. they about an inch away doing LST grow. thats 2 42w and 4 24w 2700k cfls more to come.
i only water every 3-4 days, but i water her pretty good. my soil has slow release in it so i use a weak feeding and i use pure blend pro soil formula, 1 -4 -5, so far no nut burns, i did have yellowing on the tips, due to too cold of night time. i think anyway cuz the new growth dont have it just the older growth does. but other then that its looking healthy. 80-84 during day, and 70-74 during night time.

dont mind my dirty vase in the back.

:-) Good luck dude but I think I will still be careful, at the moment almost every single leaf on my plants are perfect and they are growing really fast. :-)

I do that too, do clones before sexing, that way youre far ahead once it shows, if its male then no real time wasted.

yeah i do worry that night time growth will just shoot up, so i got my timer set for 10am - 10pm i get time in the morning to do a little matinees on her before i leave for work. and i check on lunch and my lady checks when she gets home. its like our baby in a sick way ;P i've been doing alot of lst to her so keep it low, lower and low to the ground. im keeping the light super close to get that bushy effect, then ill lift the light to get the nodes to stretch and then im gonna do a scrog type to keep them in order later down the road.

guess what im saying, im manipulating the plant with the light ;)

All sounds good. And good luck to you. Just interested in your your timer. Are you growing auto's maybe only asking because 10am to 10pm is a 12/12 cycle and with normal seeds that causes flowering so just wondering if you want them to flower now.

yep, i started flower at 4 weeks. im currently 4 days in to flower and got signs of pre flower. last plant i only veged for 2 weeks 24/0 and was amazed, when i went 12/12 it went insane at night. i was raising my lights every morning before work. but i had high PH lvl issues and N issues. didnt get it figured out until 3 weeks in to flower. was my first grow ;> still got lil over an OZ tho and was delicious.
But, DAMN those are some very vibrant green plants you got there. very sexy looking, very good! Im def gonna keep up on this! how much longer till u switch to flower?

Glad your going well with your grow :-) To be honest I would flower them now already they are growing insanely. The only issue I have that is stopping me is that I am deviding my cab in 2 and before I can do this I need the fan's I ordered to arrive. This could take another 2 weeks everything else is ready. Tomorrow I am making cuttings and I hope they are rooted in 1 week, then I will plant them and finish the cab and start flowering, so 2 weeks from now max. I may need to top the plant as it is growing so fast. Hard to see in pics but the pics above was taken yesterday and today the plant looks much bigger to me. :-)

Me too :-) Although with the pace they are growing I am wondering if taking 2 cuttings will do anything to their growth rate. Tomorrow morning I am going out and looking for a temporary fan I could maybe use in order to start my flowering asap. :-)

think ull be okay taking 2 cuttings, that veg blue helps heal faster then the flower red. especially if your gonna keep in veg for another week or so.

But my grow is over with atm, looked this morning and seen Nuts ;( View attachment 2742350

All good, gonna either order seeds or buy a clone off a buddy.

What a shame, clearly male flowers..... funny I always call them bananas :-) Clones are the way to go if you can get them, because you save so much time and you are assured they are female.
