Before we get into anything most T5 reptile UVB lights only emit usable UVB up to a maximum of 24 inches away from the bulbs surface, a 65 watt zoo med mega compact UVB CFL emits UVB up to 42 inches away from the bulbs surface. So the 65w UV CFL will actually produce UVB light that penetrates deeper into the canopy vs most T5 reptile UVB lights on the market.
A lot of people believe that Reptile UVB CFL's do not work.
My testing proves otherwise
I have tested 23watt lucky herp 10.0, 26watt lucky herp 15.0, and 65 watt zoomed mega compact reptile UVB CFL's, all of them work for growing cannabis in a small space indoors.
When I was testing the 26 watt 15.0 lucky herp UV CFL's they would emit usable UVB up to around 7-8 inches away from the bulbs surface, I would keep this UV CFL 2-3 inches away from my buds, and it made a HUGE difference in THC potency and Terpene profiles.
The 65 watt reptile UV CFL can emit usable UVB up to 42 inches away from the bulbs surface so this bulb can be put further away from the plants.
Peace Happy Growing
