I read somewhere a remark that the Russian people was not comfortable without there being a strong, even cruel, hand governing them.

Dumb ass Joe just made it so Trump will walk Scott free folks. Like it or love it, no chance he is charged with anything regarding the documents now, Joe either... it's nuts any of these rich millonaires who suck off our hard work are given a pass but it will happen. The Constitution is a lot like the Bible. Either is an extremely poor sole standard for social conduct. And yet many preach doing just that with either or both. Poor dumb (instance of name-calling, plural).

I differentiate true libertarian believers as dupes from those who adopt the guise to influence those dupes. Ron Paul, for example. He was never a proponent of open, fair and free markets. He espoused libertarian ideology and at the same time published newsletters that contained horrendously racist articles painting Black men as thugs. Von Mises, one of the founders of US libertarian ideology wrote this .

The phrase “open, fair and free markets” just caught my eye. A unicorn. It seems to me that open and free (unregulated) markets are the antithesis of fair. Their natural end stage imo is as absolutely powerful, and thus absolutely corrupt, monopolies.

Here is the difference between partisans and regular people. If the standard is you don't keep top secret documents in your house after you left office, or your garage after you left office, then you arrest them all. You don't say it's OK for one and not ok for the other. Man, someone from the left saying Joe fucjed up would be a refreshing change and if you are in the business of arresting politicians for this stuff, then hold them accountable and arrest them!!! It CANNOT be all partisan.

The attitude toward those documents is important. In one instance it is “oops, let me make it right.”
In the other it is “it’s not theirs. It’s mine!”
The two cannot honestly be equated.
Not sure what fucjed is; would you accept “Joe fucked up”? Or certainly part of his staff? Unlike the other guy, I see no intention in Joe of possessing them, or of holding them hostage.

I do not agree at all. The guy had documents in several places and I could easily argue trumps place was way more secure. Probably the person most at fault is whoever runs the security for these things unless they in fact said to each of them turn this stuff back in. A date rape or a street rape, it's all rape. If Joe didn't know he had the stuff, then you can argue he is reckless with classified material, hardly a good attribute of a president. As I said, arrest them all or arrest none, they did the same damn thing.
