My guess is they didnt seal the dye well enough after anodizing. After you anodize you drop it into your dye solution then you drop it into a boiling solution to seal in the dye. Maybe it was not hot enough to seal it and the dye is bleaching out. Just a guess but that is what I think.

Not if it is running. I have a couple inverters to run my freezers if the power goes out. The trick is matching the correct start up wattage to the inverter. And it does not take long to charge up a car battery. It would be only for the bare essentials. Like freezers or a household light.

And if you needed a back up you could just get a inverter that runs off your car battery as a back up.

I have not used UV yet. Just will not work in my current set up. I also want to try the far red LEDs as well. I dont believe that the cobs are the end all solution either. But I do see great things from my Cree cobs. I have not used the Citizen cobs yet so cant say anything good or bad...

You are right I just started growing and have no clue what I saw in my grow. 15 inches is not 24 plus inches. If you dont want to use cobs dont. but I know for a fact based on my grow that cobs have far better penetration and denser growth than T5s. Next time you are in my grow let me know...
