4 ft 70 w samsung custom aluminum pcb strips

I hope you dont think I believe that the QB is anything other than a bigger version of the strip. They are the same thing just different shape and size and number of diodes. HPS has its place as does LEDs. HPS is great in cold areas but not so much in hot areas. I get some great HPS runs in...

4 ft 70 w samsung custom aluminum pcb strips

The layout is the difference. The QB and cobs are much more point loaded than these are. Strips allow for a more even canopy by spreading the diodes out more. And QB are more spread out than cobs. I like strips better than cobs or QBs at this point. I have not tried the QB or the strips but...

4 ft 70 w samsung custom aluminum pcb strips

His strips do 12,370 lm per strip 0r 10,570 lm per meter. They also are spread out farther than a qb or cob. I dont think you need a heat sink with a 2 mm aluminum backing on it. They are running about 55%.

4 ft 70 w samsung custom aluminum pcb strips

I am pretty sure they dont make 4 foot LEDs is because they are competing against 4 foot floro fixtures whose bulbs are less than 4 foot. Plus most of the world is metric and a meter is a common measurement.

    2016 Cree Horticulture Reference Design

They have the IR on the light chart on the Cree page. So I assumed they added it. Cree, Inc. All rights reserved 6 • Physical measurements (22.3”L x 9.4”W x 13.4”H) • Weight (16lbs) • PPF/W (1.72)* • Wattage (1064W) Incumbent : Gavita Pro HPS 1000W (With Philips Bulb) *PPF measurements...

    2016 Cree Horticulture Reference Design

You complain about green light but you ignore the IR produced by the DE fixture. Take out the 15% IR and the DE is about 1.46. Or lets say some of the IR is used say 10% is unused. Then it is 1.54 PPF. The test may have its flaws but I dont see this as one that is a issue. At 15% removed...

Cutter Electronics: Complete DIY COB kits

If you go down to the description below you can divide the number of cobs by the number of drivers then take that and divide the voltage by the number of cobs and you will get the voltage. The kits are 36V. As a example here is the link for the 24 cob kit...

Cutter Electronics: Complete DIY COB kits

According to this page yes you can run 3 to 13 on that driver. The driver is maxed out at 58.8 watts. But taking into account 15% driver loss you are below that. http://www.rapidled.com/mean-well-lpc-60-1400-constant-current-driver/

Cutter Electronics: Complete DIY COB kits

According to Meanwells driver sheet that driver is rated for 59.5 watts. So yes I am sure that is what it will run safely according to Meanwell. If you go to this link you can read what was stated above when I posted how many it would run. But if you want to click the link below that you can...

Cree recommended Xlamp LED DIY Build

So I checked the first post and I was wrong. I post above that it was XPE far red but it was not. It is instead the photo red. Here is a link to that instead. http://www.rapidled.com/solderless-cree-xp-e-photo-red-660nm-high-bin-led/ I also checked the max drive amperage and the XPE is 1...

I believe the design runs XPE far red but I could be wrong. But if it does I would run these to save on soldiering. http://www.rapidled.com/solderless-cree-xp-e-far-red-led/ I like that cutter has them on the same board as posted above but I think they should be spread out more and these...

Cree recommended Xlamp LED DIY Build

You could use this as your starting point for the reference design fabrication. It may not be exactly like the reference but 10 of these will get the 144 white XPG3 part and give you 6 extra. And save you a ton of soldering. At 1.4 amps 10 of these are 630 watts. The design calls for 1.05...

Cutter Electronics: Complete DIY COB kits

I stopped posting because there are to many people with egos who are full of crap. No sense posting when you question or answer gets buried with a bunch crap that is not true and the poster wont back it up. I guess modes should do the job they are suppose to do.
