Anyone ever used or use a Microbiometer?

That was very helpful to read. What's you stance on compost teas. At first I was hearing ask this great stuff, but I realized a lot of that info was from a few years ago. I'm reading more about it not being as effective as just top dressing with compost. Why take the microbes out of the soil...

Anyone ever used or use a Microbiometer?

No man you don't sound that way. I appreciate the honestly. I'd prob struggle at my experience level to be able to judge that way. But I'm not sure the meter would help much either. I've still got very much to learn about living soil. I'm hammering away at it though. Thanks for the reply.

Anyone ever used or use a Microbiometer?

Is it an unnecessary gadget? I've been doing some reading about it, but it's so hard to sift between advice that's being paid for by the company. I just real peoples experience with the thing. If anyone even uses it. This is it https://microbiometer.com/

Can anyone help me identify this bug?

That sounds like very good advice and I will follow that rule of thumb as well. It's not worth the risk. Thanks for that. As far as worms, I've got 3 bins going atm and 2 more lbs will be here tomorrow. One of the bins has about 3lbs. The other 2 were just maybe a few hundred each. Worms...

Can anyone help me identify this bug?

This is my last run with bagged soil. I'm gotten almost everything together now for a living soil. I'm going to grow in a 2x4 bed. Was planning on using blumats. I do okay watering from a can, on bigger plants I am better about maintaining a good wet to dry cycle, I just got confused on the...

Can anyone help me identify this bug?

I got rid of that plant. I was strongly considering ditching them all. I found those tiny white balls in the bagged soil I bought and used with them. The company said they were fungi but I'm starting to doubt that. I'm going to watch them closely over the next week and see what I can see...

Can anyone help me identify this bug?

Could it be bc I left the baggie covering it for a few days after it broke soil? I was spraying it every day too. Not drenching it but maybe 5-7 spritzes. The fuzz was under the leaf.

Can anyone help me identify this bug?

Dude, I think it's a springtail! I would guess in a younger stage of life bc it's small. It said adults were around 1/16 of an inch. This this wouldn't have been visible with my eye. Thanks a lot dude. I was only googling pest so I never came across this guy. I really think it's prob what...

Can anyone help me identify this bug?

I got a really good microscope video of a bug on the underside of the leaf. The things crawling around. It looks grayish and long with a lot of legs. I wish I could share a video. Here's some screen shots. It looks different than the other bug I saw. I don't fucking know. But I threw the...

Can anyone help me identify this bug?

It's on a seedling. I just posted about these eggs I found in a bag of soil I bought. Now there's webbing and a slug looking thing. I could only see it with the microscope and only bc it moved. I thought it was water or something. But the fucker moved. Can anyone tell what this is. My...

Has anyone ever seen or used Hydrock in their living soils?

That's what I thought. But just bc it's an inorganic material doesn't mean I couldn't use it and still be considered organic?

This is going to sound ridiculous but does the sensor for the heat mat go into the soil?

The seeds have already germinated but I just got the mat and I figured it's winter and I'd like to give the seedlings a little heat. 75-80°. They're in solo cups right now. Does the probe go into the soil? Any videos I watched they were using seedling trays with covers and they taped it to...

Has anyone ever seen or used Hydrock in their living soils?

Here's a link. http://www.proscapesdirect.com/hydrocks.html I'm still learning about gardening in general. It says it's inert, does that mean it's considered organic? I wasn't going to use it for pot, just my garden. I was looking for some other people opinion. Maybe people who know more...

I found these in a bag of Fox farm happy frog. It doesn't look like fungus, it looks like eggs.

I looked around at their website. I'm in the south east united states and it's been very hard to find a good compost for the soil I want to make. Coast of Maine didn't have any distributors near me. I found a hydro store in Atl and they carried Malibu BU compost. I ordered what I needed, it...
