    Split air conditioner help

I'd add that if you're growing a strain that stretches a lot, keeping the day/night difference low will help with that. Since this thing is a pretty powerful AC you could potentially implement a dump, which is a one or two hour period first thing in the morning where it's actually a lot cooler...

    Split air conditioner help

The AC is set to be always on. So the power to the unit is controlled by the thermostat - when you get to 60 degrees or whatever, the thermostat cuts power to the AC and it's off. But you should consider what Ronjohn says as well.

    Split air conditioner help

So set it up to be always on. Then let the tstats turn it on/off as needed. Seems pretty fucking stupid to have to do this, but if there's no other way there's no other way. Something in the back of my mind makes me think there's an even simpler way to do this... but even as-is it's certainly...

Need help diagnosing a problem and a strain.

What a bunch of jerks to send you a handful of unlabeled seeds. Kinda looks like a severe stress reaction is bringing out mosaic virus symptoms. Irregular rounding of the leaf serrations and that kind of stuff. Have you had any heat issues recently?

son of a *BLEEP*. broken top after 48hr darkness going into flower... help!

It doesn't matter - 12 hours is 12 hours, the plant stops "counting" after that. It's more a process of repeated long dark periods than the absolute length of one dark period.

    Split air conditioner help

If it's not in the manual I could tell you how to set up a couple of relays/thermostats to do the same thing but it's going to be expensive. Hopefully it'll be in TFM.

URGEANT: 240V Hook Up Question:Hooking up 10-3 cord

It's safe only if you are 100% positive there will be no stress or pulling on the cable. Put those connectors in a junction box with the appropriate knockout connectors/antishorts that's attached to a stud and you should be ok. This is not a recommended practice because the weight of #10AWG...

HELP with yellowing plant with burning tips

Fert problems aside, it also kind of looks like it's being attacked by pythium/fusarium/mold below the soil line, affecting nutrient uptake. That'll hopefully clear up if you keep that humidity dome off; 70% is too high and unnecessary. I really hope that's not your problem though.

    Is This A HERMAPHRODITE????

Oh hell yeah bro. Banannas everywhere. If there aren't too many you might be able to pick 'em off, but be careful. I've had a few plants throw nanners for no reason, I picked 'em off and they didn't have any more problems.

    18 days Flowering....couple ?s

They look overwatered. That would explain the downward cast and general lack of succulence of the leaves.

    2k Dual cooltube ?

200cfm per lamp. 150 if the ducting is perfectly straight. A 6" can fan (450cfm, if I remember right) and you're laughing.

I'm a bit confused by your question. You want it to have different setpoints for day and night, or what?

    Dust collector 1 HP

Probably not, all the fan speed controllers I've seen are rated only for 4 or 5 amps. This thing is more like 7A. But I'm sure with a little googling you can find a 7a speed controller.

Fundementals of a Single Window Room? - Exhaust

If I were you I'd put a speed controller on the fan, stick the sucking directly from the window and blowing into the cooltubes. Adjust fan speed to suit your acceptable level of stealth. That way you get the max aircooling available without having a passive intake to let cold in and smells out...

    any suggestions on equipment

I used a shitty 110cfm bathroom fan with a passive intake with a 400w and it barely worked. It was much better when I installed an intake fan, equal cfm. So get at least that, and heed these words: Good advice, flamdrags. [/B]

Drip system, and ventilation questions for a 10x10 4k watt room

The 6" circle is 28 square inches, the 8" is 50 square inches of area, or in other words the 8" is 44% better. It will make a huge difference. I have a 10" fan with pretty much the same CFM running 3 8" hoods and 3x6" cooltubes and I have no heat issues. Are you having heat problems? Slime...

    EC Meter a Waste?

There are two different PPM conversion factors you can use with an EC meter. Check http://www.getbluelab.com/Articles/Bluelab+Measurement+Conversion+Chart.html for the conversion. Perhaps that's where the confusion lies, as what he told you was true - there is no totally accurate way to convert...
