    1st grow help

Definately research MG before using it. Most types of MG fert are not in the right combination for growing herb. Some MG soils also have time-release nutes which can harm seedlings. Other people on this site have great success with MG.

    Need to get good soil

After screwing up my first couple grows because of soil content, I've been pretty content with my own personal mix. Depending on the size of your grow you can change the amount of each part: 1 Bag Organic Potting Soil 1 Bag Perlite 1 Bag Vermiculite 1 Bag Peat Moss All you have do to...

    Trimming fan leafs

I didn't say cutting a plants leaf off will make it produce seeds. I said too much stress causes hermie's and cutting leafs half off are a form of stress. Look man, just because your way works for you doesn't mean that our way doesn't work for us. Everybody has different methods and different...

    Starting All New Grow

I don't think you will have a problem using a credit card, unless its just your own personal preference. Most people on here seem to have bought their lighting setups with cc's. I would go with the 600w if you choose to go with HPS.

    Small Plant Experiment

You can also buy CFL's suitable for flowering as well. You will be able to finish the plants life cycle but there's nothing wrong with buying at least a little bit more light. Besides the more light the better the plant the better the bud right?

    Too thin?

You would definately be better off with much more light. And you will need much more light to begin flowering. Get yourself a couple more floro tubes and get a couple of high watt CFL's (2 125w or 4 42w)to add some more lumens to your grow and you should be set in light for now. Also you'll want...

    Short On Space Need Help

Does your three ft include your lighting or no? How tall is your actually growing height minus pot space and light space? If it's less than 2 1/2 ft then you should probably only veg for 2 or 3 weeks at most. Remember, your plant will at least double in size during flowering.

    Trimming fan leafs

I have not tried it for flowering plants because I do not wish to send any of my plants into a stress-induced hermie form. Clones I have no problem with. Just like you said about your opinion, I simply believe my way works better.

once germinated, light or no light?????

Yup. They're are also other things besides lighting and genetics that can affect the sex of your plants. This is an excerpt from Dutch Passions: From literature and our own findings it appears that the growth of a male or female plant from seed, except for the predisposition in the gender...

    Trimming fan leafs

A clean cut close to where the petitiole (is that how you spell it) joins the main stem is where you should be trimming fan leaves. Extra cuts can spread disease and infection. Cutting leaves in half on flowering plants and then cutting it again will simply begin to stress the plant and could...

I have followed the Giants all year and i think the Giants have the ability to win and I hope they do but unfortunately I have to say the patriots will probably win. Sucks.

Tiny plants dying - twisting yellow/dying leaves - high pH? (PICS)

What kind of Miracle Grow are you using? Depending on its type it may have time-release nutrients and if that is they case they may be what is burning your seedlings. If this is the case, your best option would be to transplant in non fert soil until they are old enough to handle ferts.

    Trimming fan leafs

It's perfectly ok to trim fan leaves this late into flower if they are already dying off. Trimming healthy fan leaves that are blocking light from getting to clusters of buds is also ok.

Nah they won't die as long as you are careful while transplanting.
