I would say get a thermometer and play things by ear until then. I know a lot of people get excited and start popping beans before they're properly equipped, but having the right gear means you can spend more time monitoring your babies and less time piecing together a complete op. Not sure if I...

I don't think the photoperiod is the problem, though I happen to prefer 18/6. I do it more to give my girls some time to cool off. This is one very resilient plant, so the odds are in your favor, and by that I mean you probably haven't harmed your little ones irreparably. Make sure you don't...

Are those cubes wet? Might be overwatering. I've seen the same thing due to underwatering as well so watch out. Could just be too much heat from the light. Back it off until you can get a thermometer, hopefully very soon.

Exactly. If you can't lower the light, can you raise the plants?

That #6 looks a little stretched, yeah. Try to get the light as close as possible, say 30-45cm. Watch the temperatures, though. I hope you have a good thermometer. You can also place your hand near the plants and if you can feel too much heat from the light, so can your plants.

General Q's for Indoor vs Outdoor

Planting outside during the rainy season doesn't sound like a good idea. It can't be pouring on your girls everyday, nevermind the lack of sunshine. Slugs will have a filed day with your plants too. My advice, grow indoors or wait until the dry season.

You didn't say how much vertical space you have so I have no idea if your greenhouse is large enough. Expect the plants to stretch 2-3x during flowering.

    starting a new grow.

Can't really advise one or the other but I would think soil is more forgiving of noob mistakes, that is if it's quality soil. Question, what is your present medium?

Changing to HID lights in 12/12 ?

Go for it. Nothing wrong with what you suggest as long as you stay on top of potential heat issues. HPS > T5.

Don't "keep moist", let the top dry out a bit between waterings. I'm not familiar with "plant start" so I can't help you there. As I said, though, no nutes for the first two weeks. After that you start at 1/4 of the recommended strength on the bottle. Increase week by week slowly working up to...
