you might stress the plant out making it turn male..... especially if you just changed the lights over all of a sudden

you should probably get new lights, like an HPS or a NMH..... It takes a long long time to grow under flourescents alone..... they are used more for starting growth.....

Yeah I don't have anything kickin but some flourescents right now... I got a 100 watt NMH and a 100W HPS that I'll be putting in... just waitin on my ballasts. ;) And I'll just Vaccuum out the ladybugs.... I'll leave them in there til I crop off.

Hello all just wanted to give you an update.... the ladybugs seem to be doing their job. I've installed a bathroom fan that is rated at 50cfm for my exsaust.... hopefully that will help with the little suckers too

Hey Smithy, I think I read somewhere on RIU that it's as close as you can get your lights to your plants before you start to burn them..... I think I read in the same post you can check with your hand.... if you burn your hand... it will definately burn the plant.

I think you should have 3 nodes to your clone... but that's just want I've read... Mind you I did my first set of clones with just 1 node.... and they seemed to turnout ok.... but I think it stresses them out pretty good being small

Thanks Chaoticmetal, I'm planning on going with a NMH and a HPS both 100 Watts... I'm limitted to space, and heat will become an issue *Until I put a big assed fan venting it out* growing space 2.5' x 2.5' x 4'

you can use Ladybugs anytime... they don't eat plants just bugs. I wouldn't recommend the spray when flowering cause you get the flower wet and run the risk of mold... plus you would have to wash it off.... $8 for the spray or $8 for the bugs ;)

My Ladybugs are messing around on the Job!! I go into my box this morning and there are like 5 or 6 pairs of these little suckers doing it on my plant!!!!! I guess it could always be worse....... but sex on my plant... and I wasn't invited :'( LOL

Yeah I have my plant's about 1" away from my lights... the closer the lights... the less the plant has to stretch to put new and wonderful nodes on there ;)

I just picked up a bag o Ladybugs... I'd recommend it... go to your local nursery... I got mine for $5 and it had over 100 on them.. In the instructions it says they prefer Aphids.... but if no other food is available they will eat any soft bodied insect. Let mother natures little clean...
