    Dwc nutes

Use recirculating. Recirculating is the same as DWC the only difference is it is recirculating connecting multiple DWC buckets

Rising pH in res used for handwatering?

GH PH down is a mix of phosphoric and nitric acid i believe. My guess then would be you have a low carbonate/bicarbonate water source which make the PH unstable. This is what provides the stability to PH. So the amount of acid being added is inadequate. The more buffer in the water and more acid...

    Why is RDWC containers slimy

Its bacteria and its usually the beneficial type (denitrifying). Opaque thin layer or white toilet paper floaty stuff? They are aerobic as all bacteria in DWC are and need oxygen. You will not find anaerobic bacteria in a DWC system as you usually need a substrate to get those conditions. Not...

What type of acid are you using to PH down. I'm betting citric

I GOTTA LOSE THE AIR PUMPS! HOW?! Plus my awesome mini DWC :)

2" is absolutely plenty... No need for 3" and I can't even come close to understanding the reason for 3" in a 4 site system. The pump should be about 10x the site volume of water per hr. That is plenty of turnover and 2" pipe will handle more than double that no problem. So if you have 4 5gal...

Sick of Root Rot can I convert my RDWC to some other system?

The pythium species that affect hydro are not the same as in dirt. This is why I say unless you switch or get to the root of the problem it's likely to reoccur. Now that's not to say you switch and it was say the air stones were to aggressive causing root damage and poor health that then was...

Sick of Root Rot can I convert my RDWC to some other system?

Unless you go dirt I'm going to say you will likely have the same issues. Pythium is not temp dependant. It attacks roots at any opportunity. Higher temps only speed up the metabolic and reproductive rates. There is a reason you kept getting it and without finding you will likely have the same...

WTF is going on with seedling roots growing straight up in the air?

Let's not forget phototropism just incase for the future

WTF is going on with seedling roots growing straight up in the air?

Exactly... I feel it's likely pythium related

WTF is going on with seedling roots growing straight up in the air?

So the tap root direction is predetermined based on the seed placement? It does not grow out of the seed based on gravity? I'm thinking it's only an issue with pre germinated seeds no? Never thought about this so just asking

WTF is going on with seedling roots growing straight up in the air?

Tap root down right? 24-48 hours is to long to soak imo. 16-18hrs remove and use damp paper towel/unbleached coffee filters. But whatever works for you I guess.

WTF is going on with seedling roots growing straight up in the air?

I think I read somewhere the root may turn into a stem if kept moist. Don't quote that as fact though.

    Humidity control issues. Help

I can appreciate your view and have done diy CO2 lots in the past only not in growing cannabis. The output is just not enough to make a difference with the amount of air exchange. I use a controller and it records CO2 levels in a sealed space. Just opening the door slightly the CO2 changes...

Help with slowing down the flowering stretch! Urgent! Gorrilla Zkittles DWC 600WHPS

A light with with more blue spectrum like MH will help keep node spacing tight. So staying with MH for 3 weeks after flip. As was said day/temps plays a role in node spacing. Flip the temps so it's about 5f cooler during lights on than lights out will make a big difference in node spacing. To...

    Humidity control issues. Help

Take the CO2 bag back. It's an absolute waste of money if your not running a sealed environment. Even then they are garbage

    Humidity control issues. Help

This is a terrible representation of VPD and will likely cause some people depending on lighting, issues with mold. I keep saying this everywhere and hopefully people realize this. VPD is only accurate when you take leaf temps into account. The leaf temps are the most important factor. This is...
