I GOTTA LOSE THE AIR PUMPS! HOW?! Plus my awesome mini DWC :)

Also most don't realize that you need to match the number and size of airstones to the volume the pump they are using. It key to surface agitation... Absolutely fucking key... So if you not doing this you may see an improvement with waterfalls... But that's from using equipment improperly not...

I GOTTA LOSE THE AIR PUMPS! HOW?! Plus my awesome mini DWC :)

I agree.... There are slight differences and in most cases it's just preference. There is a lot of misinformation with the claims that people make about waterfalls. The thing is everyone is looking to make the next big thing and take credit for it to make a name. It's just like the rest of the...

I GOTTA LOSE THE AIR PUMPS! HOW?! Plus my awesome mini DWC :)

Waterfalls work the key is surface agitation and aeration of water throughout the system the more water exposure to air the faster the gas exchange happens. What they don't do is any of the miracle claims about providing the ability to run warmer temps without issue either system allows this...

Adding a dwc bucket to 10 bucket RDWC

It's ok if your growing small plants but as been said it's a pita to try and keep water level, nutrient concentrations, nutrient ratios, and fill and drain. Plants can easily drink a gal or more a day. Out of about 4 gal of water in a 5gal that's a lot of changes to try an balance properly.

I gotta lose those waterfalls. HELP!

Sounds like a good plan. The reason for the aquarium filter is the bacteria in hydrogaurd more so do not reproduce well in complete aquious solution. Denitrifying bacteria also to a point. Using a HOB filter with foam media gives a perfect environment for this... Once it's seeded you don't need...

I gotta lose those waterfalls. HELP!

How often do I recommend or how often do I do.... Completely different. I run a live system with an aquarium filter and seed with hydrogaurd and denitrifying bacteria. This round I'm also using hygrozyme at 1ml per litre. So I don't change more than 50% of my water at a time. Generally speaking...

I gotta lose those waterfalls. HELP!

I don't use bloom nutes and I use a 1 part fert. There is now need imo the needs of the plants don't change as much as nutrient companies would like us to believe. Stick to the veg nutes... Late in flowering lower the ppm like the last week or 2. Stay low on P you are already adding some K in...

I GOTTA LOSE THE AIR PUMPS! HOW?! Plus my awesome mini DWC :)

Actually it isn't. Just like bacteria they have requirements to live and if those requirements are met they can survive and or thrive. Healthy roots and a sterile environment or live environment with beneficial microbes are they key to avoiding root rot. It typically enters new weak roots or...

    RDWC PPM when using Tea

Oh understand bacteria quite well. They don't actually kill other bacteria or algae they out compete them and you should never have cynobacteria or you have light leaks because it requires light to grow. Yeah I would do as you are with nutes

    RDWC PPM when using Tea

You ph should never go above 6.1 and I don't go over 6.0 ideally 5.6-6. I'm not sure what's in that tea but you need to start getting them some nutrients. Like I said about 200ppm should be good for now

    RDWC PPM when using Tea

Do you have a ph and ppm meter? That you can reliably count on and check the validity from time to time? Probably the easiest is bontanicare pure blend pro grow. 1 part and you can use it start to finish. You don't need the bloom. 200ish ppm should be good for now. GH 3 part also a good...

    Leaves sagging slightly in DWC

It breaks rediculously fast and is not well suited to hydro. Not to mention lemon juice is not just citric acid. I'm to lazy to get into but I can tell you that it's not even an option to use and is all around garbage if you plan to be successful in DWC

    RDWC PPM when using Tea

Well you are starving them and you need to lower the water to 1" below the net pot.

    Leaves sagging slightly in DWC

You are asking for big problems using lemon juice and vinegar as ph down. Just because it lowers the ph doesn't mean it's good. Citric acid is shit in hydro get yourself some phosphoric or sulfuric acid form of ph down. Lower the water to 1" below the net pot and take a cup of res solution...
