    Wrong soil to begin with

If you have them in small containers such as a solo cup leave them there until you transplant. Seedlings are delicate and also difficult to handle without mishap. If they are in anything larger I would wait until they are 1-2 inches then TP into a small pot or cup. Good luck, BigSteve.

Help with spider mites and starting over...

Get an insecticide called Sevin Dust and sprinkle it around your grow room. You can even sprinkle it directly on a plant. Worked at UCLA and that's what we used for mite infestations in the animal labs. Good luck, BigSteve.

    Veg time and plant numbers

You have a lot of wattage for a tent so keep an eye on the temp. Also, height issues should be your main concern. Figure the distance from the floor to a point 8-10 inches from the bulb. That is as close to the bulb you want your plants to get. Once you have that measurement cut the number in...

    OG Flashback Story

It was 1969 or 1970 and I was living with a herd of hippies in a house in Grand Rapids, Michigan. The group decided to make a run to the local A&P to liberate groceries. I was testing a new batch of purple microdot acid and was too wasted to go. The house was pretty political and we had "F*ck...

    Transplant into different soil

I use only MG Potting Soil but there should be no problems switching to FF when you transplant. Good luck, BigSteve.

    When to transplant

Another tip on deciding when to transplant -- Look straight down on the pot and note where the widest leaves are in relation to the side of the pot. As long as the pot is wider than the leaf stretch your plant is using most of it's energy to grow roots to support the plant. Roots usually reach...

    When to transplant

Brace her up. I use wooden skewers and pipecleaners. You can also use the ties that come from opening a loaf of bread. In your case you can also add dirt to the cup to help support the sprout. Good luck, BigSteve.

Problem germ but won’t sprout? PLEASE HELP‼️

If you are getting tap roots via the paper towel method and not getting them to sprout in dirt your problem is easy to identify. I leave the beans in the paper towel matrix until the taproot is an inch long. The seedcap should be ready to fall off. If the 'cap is still attached use 2 toothpicks...

    First seedlings!

I've also learned the hard way. Now I make sure that all sprouts going into dirt have already lost the seedcap. If the cap is still present when it's dirt time I grab the toothpicks and remove them first. Works for me. Good luck, BigSteve.

    Drying plants

Hanging harvested plants is a waste of time. Once a plant is cut down the THC does not travel so there is no benefit from hanging. In fact, hanging plants just makes the smaller leaves curl up and adds hours to the time it takes to trim the plant properly. Drying/curing is a 2-step process. We...

From the pix I would guess the plants are a hybrid strain but mostly sativa. That means slow growth. Good luck, BigSteve.

    Friend! Need ur advise)

Wild ditch weed is usually ruderalis. Means they are auto-flowering. Genetics are everything with plants. To improve quality you have to improve your seed stock. Good luck, BigSteve.

    First seedlings!

Bottom pic shows a plant getting strangled by a stubborn seed cap that refuses to drop away. Take 2 toothpicks and gently peel off the dessicated seedcap so the leaves can open properly. Good luck, BigSteve.

    best magnifying glass for trichomes

I've had best luck with a 30X illuminated magnifier. 60X is more magnification than you need and a bitch to dial in. Here's a couple tips from an OG -- 1. Cut a small piece of sugar leaf and place it on the back of your left hand (assuming you are right-handed). 2. Place the 30X so that the...

    Transplant?

Notice in pix 2 and 3 that your largest leaves have just reached the pot width. This means the root system has grown to the point that the plant is able to support itself in that pot. When you allow the plant to remain in that pot you will see fast vegetative growth. I would give her another...

which seed bank to order from!!!!

I use Attitude to protect myself from US Customs. When you check out online pick the stealth mode for shipping. Costs about $10 but they will re-ship your order for free if Customs snags the beans. Good luck, BigSteve.

    Need a new light. Advice??

I have a 400W bulb in my veg room and a 1000W bulb in my flower room. MH bulbs run hotter so I use HPS bulbs in both rooms to keep down the heat. You can get a complete set-up including timer, ballast, hood, bulb, etc. for about $250 on eBay. Good luck, BigSteve.
