Do you place fans blowing directly at your buds?

When needed I use a 20-inch box fan in my flower room doorway. I turn the fan around so it sucks out air from the flower room. Cooler air will then travel into the room. Good luck, BigSteve.

    Flower time

Seed companies usually predict finishing times assuming perfect conditions. It is also in their best interest to lowball flower time. I'm sure an extra week won't have any negative affects. Good luck, BigSteve.

I wouldn't want to have to transplant them out of that "pot". Good luck, BigSteve.

How many transplant from seed to harvest

I start seedlings in 8 oz. Styrofoam cups and leave them there until they are 150-200% as tall as the cup. Then they go into 7-inch square "berry" pots until they reach topping/ FIMing size around 16-18 inches. They end up in 3-gallon pots. Works for me. Good luck, BigSteve.

    Choosing a mother plant

If you have a choice try to pick the plant that has the shortest internodal spaces - the amount of stem between nodes. That should provide more cuttings for clones. I like to top or FIM potential moms to increase growing points which = more cuttings. Moms should be kept in perpetual veg mode so...

    Germination problems HELP

I use the paper towel method. Soak 3 layers of pt, seeds on top, then 2 more layers of soaked pt. Put in large sealable baggie to keep them from drying out and you should have close to 100% germing after 3 days. Good luck, BigSteve.

Veg time 2 gallon smart pots?

Choose veg times by size, not time. You can pretty well figure the plant will double in height during flower. So veg until she is half as tall as the pot will support. Good luck, BigSteve.

    Autoflowering Seeds questions

I always grow autos in my veg room with lights on 24/0 schedule. You can't give an auto too much light so keep her lit. Good luck, BigSteve.

    Transplanting seedlings

Leave the root alone and just coil it into the dirt hole. Good luck, BigSteve.

How to cut and replant a tall plant :)

Take your clones before you cut the main stem, eh? I would use the top as the first clone and take also the next 2 or 3 nodes until you get to the widest part of the plant. That is where I would cut the main stem down to size. Then give her maybe a week to stabilize then put her to flower. Keep...

    Is this stretching?

We usually use the term "stretching" to refer to vertical plant growth after going from veg to 12/12. You are going to need some braces for your toothpicks. I use wooden skewers and pipecleaners. Also, couldn't hurt to fill the pot with as much dirt as possible and pack that dirt around the...

    How to screw up topping.

It will grow 2 branches above the cut. Don't worry. That is what topping is - remove node and all and end up with 2 stems instead of one. Good luck, BigSteve.

Do you clear off the big fan leaves during/for flowering?

Larger, lower fans will turn yellow/brown as the plant matures. That's natural. Good rule of thumb is don't remove any fan unless it is more than 50% dead. Good luck, BigSteve.

Do my plants look big enough for 5 weeks old?

Sounds good Vinny. Only thing I'd mention is don't fall into thinking a pot full of roots means rootbound. Good luck, BigSteve.

How long to wait for seeds to germ

With my refridgerated seeds -- * @ 24 hours they show a crack. * @ 48 hours I have a 1/2 inch taproot. * @ 72 hours the 2 leaves are out, sprout is 1+ inches and ready for dirt. If they haven't cracked at 3 days chances are slim they will. Are you keeping the paper towel set-up in an air-tight...

    Broken branch

Looks like there is still enough meat there to keep the branch going. As long as it does not impede the rest of the plant leave her be and cross your fingers. Good luck, BigSteve.

Do my plants look big enough for 5 weeks old?

If the plant has been 5 weeks in that pot, THAT is your size problem. Plants grow very little above grade until the roots are able to reach an inside wall of the pot. They do this naturally so the plant has the support it needs. If that's the case you have been sitting there growing nothing but...
