LED and Plasma height from seedlings?

That's a lot of light for seedlings. Just keep the 50W on, maybe 2' away.

Kali Mist Old school weed at it's finest

This is what I was going to say, But then I realized I was playing a game that I wasn't intending to when I first posted. It might be hard to follow me. It's not a destination that I have drawn in my mind, it's just a mixture of paint that creates a certain color. It takes time for light...

Need Help: Locate Specific Spoon - Bought from Lazy J's in CO

I found someone on Etsy that had some work that I liked and I already sent him/her an email. https://www.bcsmokeshop.ca/shop/inside-out-millie-pipe-with-420 I emailed these guys too and asked them if Red Eye would do custom work for them. http://www.chunkyglasspipes.com/nebula.html Those look...

Don't mean to thread crap (and I loved you're write up, btw, I thought it was very endearing), buuuut what if we were the most intelligent species in the Universe, and Earth happened to be Its only egg in the entire basket? Metaphorically and hypothetically speaking: We are the only person in...

    Budget led

I like the look of these high wattage LED chips that Chronikool turned me on to. https://www.rollitup.org/led-other-lighting/538173-cheapo-diy-chinese-led-grow.html Very cool grow, imo. I'm considering it myself for veg and to fill out the spectrum of bloom panels that I'm building. If you're...

Need Help: Locate Specific Spoon - Bought from Lazy J's in CO

Hey guys. I bought this one three to four years ago. A friend of a friend dropped it on my concrete garage floor about two years ago. C'est la vie, I know, but I really miss this one. Can anyone help me locate another pipe (...exactly :wall:) like this? I bought it from: Lazy J's 10672 West...

    LED+CFL Closet Coco grow

Definitely. If you're set on going SCROG you should FIM those babies asap, imo. Look at all those little shoots down there just waiting to stretch out. That shit's picture perfect. As for screen placement I guess it depends on what you want/how long you wanna veg for. Rootin' for ya man...

    liquid cooled led`s ?

Generally, you'd have to keep the LED chips further away to prevent bleaching. Color temperature would also play a role most likely. A lot of these chips have a viewing angle of 120 degrees so the light should spread out pretty past.

I might. Just fishing for ideas on tweaks or advice for a bare-bones, proof of concept design at this point.

    Budget led

About 30W actual draw. You can use 3W diodes if you want, but I used 1W's and actually I underpowered the Whites/Blues to run everything on a single driver. 225mm x 200mm. The Aluminum is sturdy enough, it supports its own weight, etc. but you could easily bend it by hand if you tried. I suggest...

    Budget led

I haven't read all the way through this thread. I'm guessing people start out skeptical yet end up saying, "Hey, that's a pretty good deal." This is just my guess. https://www.rollitup.org/led-other-lighting/514465-apollo-series-led-panels-cidly.html Lots of good info, regardless. I recommend a...

    Budget led

DIY is a cheaper route than many, but going onto alibaba and contacting various manufacturers can land you about .8 Watts per dollar or better. Also, I stole this from another thread: http://www.cidly.com/?page_id=61 Sounds pretty cheap and by the look of it very nice quality panels. There...

    Aqua Illumination LED’s

LED's for coral are usually very high CCT or even pure Blue. That's a lot of Blue light which, by itself, would definitely stunt plant growth. I mean I'm sure you could grow with these panels, but to what degree...? You'd definitely want to supplement it with "Bloom" lighting. I'm leaning...

    Astir Grow Led Panel Project...

What if the phosphor matched the LED's viewing angle so all beams would travel the same distance and strike perpendicularly? Harder to do with a die matrix chip, but possible, and to an acceptable accuracy once calculated, I'd assume. One of those patents was talking about vacuum forming the...

    Astir Grow Led Panel Project...

Good reads SDS. Thanks for the links. It's too bad, but I'm not paying to read any of the full ieeexplore articles. At least the abstracts give you a pretty good idea of what's going on. So I guess the "windowed" phosphor method decreases efficiency, but also decreases wide-angle CCT...
