We wouldn't need insurance if the costs were actually reasonable, like when I was a kid. At the age of 4 I had a surgery and it only cost $830 out of my folk's pocket. They had no insurance. Today that same operation would be over $100K.
which brings me to my issue!
hi guys...
i'm one of those slaves/ serfs/ indentured servant is really what it is. though.. i do agree.. we're pretty much all chattel for the government..
STUDENT LOANS MOTHER FUCKERS CANT YOU SEE THAT IS THE ISSUE. (food and fuel costs too but another argument)
the education bubble is going to burst. if it hasn't already.
i'm 20,000+ in debt -not paying them because i'm lucky to make my monthly bills.
i made less than 15,000 last year.
no health insurance. -i'll be forced to pay for it or the fine i'm sure.
oh and i wanted to be a history/poli sci teacher... once my eyes were opened, beyond probably not having a job when i'm done with a degree, i'd be perpetually in debt and going back to school. no thanks.
so did start my quest to start digging out of the hole.
any advice? lol
but yeah that is why doctors choose to have things cost so much. their loans, their lawyers and insurance malpractice costs -their loans, and then of course they all enter the profession based on money anyways. so that is what they are expecting in the end.
